Paper Mario: The Origami King has been announced for a July 17 release, for US$59.99 or equivalent: it can be preloaded now. The evil Origami King has taken Princess Peach's castle, and Mario must seek the help of allies old (Bowser) and new to save the princess.

2K's newest entry into licensed sports will be in the Switch clubhouse this summer.
PGA Tour 2K21 will launch on Switch day and date with other platforms on August 21. The officially licensed PGA Tour game will feature a full featured course and player designer and online multiplayer.
PGA is developed by HB Studios, who developed The Golf Club games for PC / Xbox One / PlayStation 4 in the past.

Time for the world to see rollback netcode in action.
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the world's largest fighting game tournament is going online, and Smash Bros. fans will have to look elsewhere for a featured spot this year.
EVO announced the details of Evo Online, a five-week event with open online tournaments for four new games and special exhibitions for the original EVO 2020 lineup—with two big exceptions.

What if golf didn't use balls AND was simultaneous multiplayer?
What The Golf? has finally nailed down its tee time.
The parody of the staid sport of golf will launch on Switch May 21 for US$19.99 / €19.99 / £17.99 with a discount of 25% for buying up until the 28th. Originally announced last year in an Indie World show, it was also an Apple Arcade launch title.

One of this week's hyped releases has had to pull into the pits right before its green flag.
Aspyr Media have had to delay the release of Star Wars: Episode I Racer that was originally slated for tomorrow (May 12). Delays in adjusting to work from home are being cited for the delay.

If you're looking for Star Wars day, that was yesterday on the revenge of the 5th.
It's an interesting week for the eShop if only because of some of the games up for grabs. The headliner is the Indie MIX published Jay and Silent Bob-themed NES brawler Mall Brawl, just because who would have expected a Jay and Silent Bob licensed game in 2020? There's also the evil-sounding Void Bastards if you need a bit more of a slower pace, the game mashup (literally) SuperMash, and serene bike rider Lonely Mountains: Downhill.

Nintendo issued their full year financial results for the period of April 1, 2019 -> March 31, 2020 overnight, with some big numbers for the company admist the COVID-19 pandemic.

At least you won't have to buy it twice - right, CJ?
Following a Japanese reveal, EA have confirmed the release date for Burnout Paradise's Nintendo debut.
The vintage open-world racer will land on Switch June 19, and the MSRP will be US$49.99/C$64.99. It is also available for preload on the eShop today.
Burnout Paradise originally released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2008, and was remastered for their successor systems last year.

Ary and the Secret of Seasons, the Modus Games-published action adventure game, will launch on Switch July 28. A new gameplay video has also been released:

The second DLC pack is now out for Luigi's Mansion 3, wrapping up that pass.
Luigi can sport three new costumes as part of the update, dressing as a magician, pirate, or a paleontologist. New ghosts will appear in the ScareScraaper, and the ScreamPark has added new games as well. The new games are: PuckStravaganza (ice hockey), Floaty Frenzy (water-focused obstacle course), and Desperate Measures.

From the makers of Duke Nukem Forever... wait, why are you laughing?
A controversial first person shooter from the makers of multiple genre classics will make its console debut in a couple of weeks.
Ion Fury, the first shipping game from 3D Realms to reach consoles without intervention since 2006's Prey, will be available on Switch May 14 for US$24.99. A preload discount will also be available, and a physical version will be available from the game's website or in stores in PAL regions at the end of June.

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise will launch on Switch July 10 for $49.99 US, both digitally and physically. Set partially in Boston, the game claims to be a sequel and prequel to the original game.
The original game is currently on sale for 50% off in North America to celebrate.

The crowdfunded RPG is coming with a bit of a discount, but some caveats. (UPDATED)
It turns out 505 Games will have two Switch releases this week.
Indivisible, the RPG developed by Lab Zero Games (Skullgirls) has appeared on the Switch eShop with no prior announcement of a release date. The price is US$23.99 after a 20% discount that expires May 12, for a regular price of $29.99.

SNK is observing the 30th anniversary of the Neo Geo with a special release of a classic portable fighter.
SNK Gals' Fighters, a 2000 Neo Geo Pocket Color fighting game, will be made available on the Switch eShop this Wednesday (April 29). This is the second NGPC game to be made available on Switch following a preorder bonus of Samurai Shodown II to coincide with the launch of the modern reboot in February.

The big release is a three way fight this week: there's arguments for Moving Out (the speed-based moving simulator with apparently a very liberal damage waiver), Streets of Rage 4 (the Wonder Boy: The Dragons' Trap devs tackle belt action with Sega's permission), or Telling Lies (FMV/adventure maestro Sam Barlow's console debut).
