These won't be coming cheap.
The whole world will be able to hunt with the Monster Hunter Rise Switch this March.
The themed system and Pro Controller previously announced for the rest of the world were confirmed for North America as well, launching March 26. The system will come with a Deluxe download code for Rise for US$369.99, while the Pro Controller will have an MSRP of US$74.99.

Kids and squids of the world, unite: Splatoon 3 is coming.
The follow-up to the unfathomably popular shooter series was announced at the end of today's Nintendo Direct, with a 2022 release date. Customization for the player character and a pet were shown, as well as new weapons such as an ink bow and arrow.

In a shocking development, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calmity is getting an expansion pass.

Don't worry, you don't have to use motion controls while riding the bus... but you could.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is on its way to Switch via The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. Beyond being upped to high defenition, Skyward Sword HD also features new control options. Two Joy Cons can be used to emulated the original Wii motion controls. A new motion free control setup is also available. In this mode the player can use the right stick to manipulate Link's sword and other motion based items.

We all knew there would be one zombie franchise resurrected today, but who had THIS one on the bingo card?
One of the most irreverent zombie games of the 2000s is coming to Switch next month.
Aspyr Media have revived their 2005 game Stubbs the Zombie: Rebel Without A Pulse and will publish the game on Switch March 16. It is available for preorder on the eShop today.
The original title was strictly on the original Xbox as well as PC and Mac in 2005. Its original developer, Wideload Games, closed down in 2014.

Electronic Arts now has a pair of multiplayer shooters destined for Switch next month.
In today's Nintendo Direct, EA announced the oft-rumored release of Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville for Switch would finally happen on March 19 at a launch price of US$39.99. This will follow Apex Legends's March 9 release.

Stop me if you heard this one before: It's a HD 2D game you can play today.
The Octopath Traveler team is going tactical for their next "HD 2D" RPG.
Project "Triangle Strategy" (a working title) will launch in 2022 on Switch, though a demo with feedback will be available today as is tradition for the developer. Set in the midst of a "Saltiron War", the combat system is a tactical RPG with choices that will affect the story based on three factors: Utility, Morality, and Liberty.

Xenoblade fans rejoice! The next fighter coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Announced in today's Nintendo Direct, Pyra and Mythra will be a combo character where you swap between the characters mid-battle. Rex will appear as part of their Final Smash. For their stage, fighters will duke it out on the back of Azurda, Rex's titan companion from Xenoblade 2.

The happening bunker is quickly filling as Nintendo has returned with its biggest Direct in a year and a half.
Nintendo of America tweeted an announcement a short time ago that the next presentation would air tomorrow (February 17) at 5 p.m. ET, 2 p.m. PT, 2300 CET. According to the note, it will be roughly 50 minutes long and include details on previously released games including Smash Ultimate as well as games for the first half of 2021.

Two explorations that should go great together.
The indie exploration platformer Blasphemous is adding some more experience to the roster.
An update launching on Thursday will add a new character: Miriam, the main character of fellow 2019 release Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. In a special mode, players will have to locate pieces of a portal to get Miriam back to her home world, with a special bonus for completion.

"Thomas Was Alone?" I can't get a vacation this time of year without someone dying, so how does that work?
It's quite a busy week for the role-players among us, heavy on the action side though. The leading example - which is mostly getting in here because it technically releases early for some people - is the Deluxe edition of Persona 5 Strikers, the sequel to the game that got the highest score I've given on a review since 2016. For those coming out in full this week there's also Fallen Legions Revenants from NIS America.

Sounds like a reachable goal.
The tactical RPG King's Bounty II has finally secured its launch date for all platforms.
After being announced for a Switch release in a March 2020 Direct Mini with a planned release of "2020", it was finally announced for release on August 24 in an Epic Games Store presentation earlier today. Publisher Koch Media later confirmed this was the release date for Switch as well.
