After officially moving into China, Nintendo is heading back to South America.
Nintendo of America tweeted this morning links to Instagram and Facebook pages for Brazil, confirming the Switch would officially launch in the territory. No date was given for the launch.

Originally announced for summer 2020, Sports Story has been officially delayed.
Announced in the December 2019 Indie World for a summer 2020 release, the release date was updated to "TBA" on the Nintendo game list over the weekend. Developer Sidebar Games confirmed the delay officially in a Tweet today.

At least some annual traditions are surviving the circumstances.
The latest declaration of independent developers on Switch will be airing tomorrow.
The second Indie World presentation of the year will air on August 18, starting at 12 p.m. Eastern / 9 a.m. Pacific / 1800 CET. As with prior Indie World shows, the presentation will be approximately 20 minutes long.

"Pure Grinding" isn't just something that occurs at the Mage.
Players interested in trying the upcoming (on Switch) Avicii Invector will be able to grab a demo today.
The posthumous rhythm game, which will fully release on Switch on September 8, will be releasing a demo version today. It will contain two tracks ("The Nights" and "Pure Grinding") of the 35 that will be in the launching product.

Switch owners will benefit from the Last Man Standing match between Tims Sweeney and Cook.
A billion dollar company is taking a swing at a trillion dollar company in a way that Switch Fortnite players will benefit from.
Epic have announced a "Mega Drop" on the Fortnite website that will see the price of V-Bucks (Fortnite's in game currency) and cosmetic items cut by 20% across the board, starting today. This applies to all platforms where Fortnite has launched, including mobile.

Unlike the New York Times, we've acknowledged the video game remake since 1993.
This weekend will feature a mild party on my part, but I'll spend another part of it diving back into the world of the Tokyo police with the never-before-localized Unlimited fancard for Collar x Malice. Other titles I've looked into this week include the retro shooter Double Kick Heroes and Gungho's new strategy title Volta-X.

It joins Tropical Freeze and the Bayonettas on the MIA pile.
Another retail title on the Wii U has vanished following the announcement of a Switch version.
Pikmin 3, along with all of its DLC, were discovered to be missing from the North American eShop this morning following the announcement of Pikmin 3 Deluxe for Switch. Nintendo is not officially commenting on the removal, and some retailers are still selling the disc version of the game on Wii U at the Nintendo Selects price.

And Pikmin 4 is totally coming soon, guys.
Nintendo will be reviving a Elite Four game for Wii U on Switch this fall.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe has been announced for Switch release via a Nintendo of America tweet. Launching on October 30, the game will feature new side missions as well as all of Pikmin 3's original DLC.

So now John will spam Star Fox music only on Final Destination.
Smash Ultimate has a new version of a classic stage, and some new ways to jam out on it.
A new update is out for the fighter (version 8.1) that adds the Small Battlefield stage to the lineup. As the name implies, it is a smaller version of the existing Battlefield for those up close and personal fights. Any song in the game can now be played on the Battlefield variants as well as Final Destination.
