Australians can soon join Japanese and American players in the hit sequel to Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Nintendo announced today that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will finally be ready for release in Australia on June 26.
Featuring the same play style found in its predecessor, Brawl will also feature: a new line up of characters, stages, and modes for players to enjoy. In addition, players will be able to take the game online with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and brawl with fighters and friends worldwide.

Based on the original Xbox 360 title, Pocket Paradise will take full use of the intuitive DS touch screen to manage their neglected garden.
THQ announced today that they will be publishing Rare’s adaptation of the original Xbox 360 title, Viva Piñata, on the Nintendo DS. Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise will feature the same gameplay elements, but changed to take use of the DS interface.

With only a day on the market, Frontier has already revealed that a sequel is in the works for the WiiWare launch title.
After just a day on the market, Frontier revealed through their LostWinds website that a sequel is already in the works. The sequel promises "amazing new gameplay" as players reunite with Toku and the wind spirit Enril to save the magical world of Mistralis.

Developer Nnooo hopes their original bubble-popping puzzle-shooter will prove accessible to all.
Pop was one of the earlier titles revealed for WiiWare, and it's also one of the first games available for the service. Priced at 700 Wii Points and downloadable via the Wii Shop Channel, the game tasks players with a simple mechanic: clicking on overlapping bubbles to pop them and score points. Developers hope this "gives anyone the ability to jump in and start popping straight away."

Thanks to the rising fortunes of the company he led for more than 50 years, Hiroshi Yamauchi is now the richest man in Japan. A little more than a week after the North American launch of Nintendo's WiiWare service, Europe will join in the downloadable fun on May 20. But whereas North America got six games, Europe may get up to eight. Free up 248 blocks of memory for the free Wii Channel download and you'll be able to watch streaming video, download DS demos, and even purchase games online.
Supposedly, the Nintendo Channel was set to launch for American Wii owners on May 12, the same date that Nintendo's WiiWare Service is scheduled to become available. Instead, it appeared for download early this morning. Users will discover a bevy of features in Nintendo's latest offering, but first they'll have to make space in their Wii memory.
