The classic children's book series is receiving the digital treatment in the form of Goosebumps Horrorland, an adventure title.

Scholastic Interactive announced yesterday that under their new publishing label, Elastic, they are releasing Goosebumps Horrorland for Wii and DS.

Goosebumps Horrorland will be an adventure game set in a fright-themed amusement park filled with over thirty rides and a variety of attractions. As players start to experience the rides they realize that the scares provided are indeed a real threat. Players will vanquish vampires amongst other monsters and will be battling for their lives on the ride.

As players try to escape the park they become entangled in the park's mysteries, eventually solving them all.

Players looking forward to re-experiencing the Goosebumps franchise will be able to do so this October on Wii and DS for an MSRP of $39.99 and $29.99 respectively.

Talkback

The description reminds me a lot of Illbleed.

I recall reading a few of the original Goosebumps books to my little brother. They were generally quite humorous.

I still wake up in cold sweats from my 6th grade reading of "Night of the Living Dummy"

oh MAN that brings me back..I remember reading those books in like 5th grade or something and they had a short lived tv show on PBS.

I remember i read one where this girl had a house fire and than new people moved in but she thought they were ghosts.

I don't remember what the story was called but I very much enjoyed it. Ahh Nostalgia.

And I'll assume everyone eventually moved on to the "Fear Street" series....Man, those were scary!!

The book in question was The Ghost Next Door... which, unlike the others, was more moving than scary. Personally, it was my favorite from the ones I read.
