Test out the six different characters in the Switch demo coming in advance of the April launch.
Trials of Mana is getting a demo, due out on the Switch eShop on March 18.
The demo will allow players to pick from the six different playable characters and experience the opening hour and a half of the game, all the way up until the Fullmetal Hugger boss fight. For a tease of what will be in the demo, check out our hands-on preview.

The store made the announcement tonight following the close of business that the store would shut down for the "forseeable future".

A classic PC game thought to have lost source code is going to come to Switch this year.
Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition, a 1997 point-and-click PC adventure game developed by Westwood Studios, will release on Switch sometime in 2020. Although not an adaptation of the 1982 Ridley Scott film, the events of the game take place alongside the events of the film.

The LEGO tease a couple of days ago was for a new type of figure featuring our beloved plumber.
LEGO and Nintendo officially announced a partnership for the Mario series today, showing off new figures that interact. Launching later this year, Mario will collect coins by interacting with other LEGO playsets themed around the series, while playing several iconic sound effects.

Our 5th best game of 2019 gets a sequel in April, promising new modes, cross-platform play, and more.
Super Mega Baseball 3 is set to launch on Nintendo Switch in April 2020 according to developer Metalhead Software.
The release follows on the heels of Super Mega Baseball 2, which first launched in 2018 but didn't come to Switch until summer 2019. If you are to believe our review, it's very good.

UPDATE The ESA has confirmed to Gamespot that the live event portion of E3 will be cancelled. "After careful consultation with our member companies regarding the health and safety of everyone in our industry--our fans, our employees, our exhibitors and our longtime E3 partners--we have made the difficult decision to cancel E3 2020, scheduled for June 9-11 in Los Angeles."

The Mario Zone from Super Mario Land 2 may be about to become a reality.
The Nintendo branches posted Tweets at 9 a.m. Eastern this morning suggesting a collaboration of some kind between LEGO and Super Mario. No further details were given.

The satirical shooter is getting some big adjustments made.
Freedom Finger will be getting a major update in two weeks.
The "Rhymesayers" update launching on March 24 will feature new levels with music performed by hip-hop artist Aesop Rock. Additionally, all levels will be selectable in Arcade Mode from the start, while the campaign mode's progression will be overhauled (specifics TBD).

If you missed SFB Games' cozy Professor Layton-esque puzzle mystery, there's still time to catch up before the sequel.
Snipperclips developers SFB Games is in the early stages of a follow-up to Tangle Tower, their 2019 Professor Layton-esque adventure game.
The studio's founders Adam and Tom Vian shared that the next mystery of Detective Grimoire's career is in the works, being written right now. It won't simply be called Tangle Tower 2 as it will be a brand new story with new characters.

The original Ittle Dew will finally be available physically for Nintendo fans.
Ittle Dew, the cute Zelda-inspired eShop gem originally released in 2014 on the Wii U and again in 2019 on the Switch, will be getting a special physical edition courtesy of 1Print Games. The game's Swedish-based developers Ludosity have worked close with 1Print Games to "make this Limited Edition a treat for longtime fans and gamers".

NIS America has made their first of two announcements this week, and it's a Switch localization of a game seemingly impossible to pronounce in any language.

Seven months after its removal, DuckTales has returned to the Wii U eShop.
The WayForward-developed remake of the NES classic released in 2013 was delisted in August but returned to the store today. Although Capcom did not officially specify why the game was removed originally, it has been returned to all digital storefronts today at its standard price of US$14.99.

Mario Kart Tour is about to add the full multiplayer mode tested last year.
An update to the app on March 8 (North American time) / 9 March will add the full multiplayer function for all players. Previously, subscribers to the game's Gold pass were able to test the feature in a beta format.

Oh, so everyone cleared out of the way of Picross x Phoenix Wright this week.
Nintendo wants the week's big game to be Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX, even dangling the bribe of $8 in coins that I can put toward the expansion pass for Pokémon Shield for me in particular. However, I shall persevere and instead focus on Murder by Numbers, which fuses Picross and a detective game in a combination I never knew I wanted until it was announced. It even has the Phoenix Wright composer on board.
