Genki to show GCN title at TGS GC

Genki has a racer in the works for GameCube ...

GameSpot has information that Genki is going to show a GameCube version of Togue Battle at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

This is one of three titles Genki will show at TGC, including one X-Box title. The third is unknown, and may or may not be a GCN title as well.

Shining Soul Announced for GBA! GBA

Fans of the long-running epic Sega series rejoice!

Shining Force returns! Sega just recently revealed that there is a new title in the series currently known as "Shining Soul".

It's said to be an Adventure game, and that would be the first since Shining Wisdom some time ago. While there's few details, it is understood that the current release date is for sometime early Spring 2002.

Nintensity has managed to snag pictures of all the “translucent cube” ads appearing in print magazines.

As part of its Nintendo launch advertising campaign, Nintendo has begun placing very creative print ads utilizing a giant transparent Cube in various popular magazines. The first was a GameCube system ad with the gamer inside the cube immersed in bliss, discovered in Rolling Stone. Now new ads showcasing all of Nintendo’s first-party games for 2001 have been revealed thanks to the efforts of Nintensity.

Pokemon Mini gets a date!

Portable pokemon fun is hitting Japan very soon...but when? How about getting some extra goodies?

The Pokemon Mini will be released on November 27th for a price of 4800 yen ($40 US). There will be three games available on launch at 1200 yen a piece ($10 US)

If you have the opportunity, you can pre-buy your Pokemon Mini online through the Pokemon Center Online site. If you do so, you get a really cool strap for your Pokemon Mini. Unfortunately at this time, this is limited to people who live in Japan. Boo.

InterAct Ships GameShark for GBA GBA

It's a little late, but the GameShark has finally arrived for Game Boy Advance.

Originally expected for launch, InterAct has finally released the GBA GameShark. New features include a PC link-up cable for downloading codes directly from GameShark.com...you'll never have to manually enter codes again (though you still can, of course). The product comes pre-loaded with codes for 25 GBA games, mainly the launch titles with a few more that have been released since then.

Eternal Darkness Delay Official GC

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem will be delayed until February 11, 2002 for a MSRP of $49.95.

According to our sources deep inside Nintendo, the reason for the delay is to add more polish to the title.

Konami's GCN games at TGS GC

According to the popular Japanese news site GC Inside, Konami will be showing off 2 GameCube games at TGS 2001!

GC Inside has confirmed that Konami will be showing Jikkyou World Soccer 2002 and ESPN International Winter Sports 2002 for GameCube at the Fall Tokyo Game Show 2001. Though their progress was not mentioned, it is very likely that at least one of the two games will be playable on the GameCube. With two GCN games from a major developer at TGS, Nintendo is showing the public that it truely does have third party support.

Nintendo Seeds Small Developers

Hoping to repeat Pokemon's rags-to-riches story, Nintendo is offering money to small developers with vision.

According to the Nihon Keizai newspaper in Japan and as reported by Bloomberg news, Nintendo is offering 10 to 20 million yen (about $83,000 to $166,000) per small developer for trial versions of prospective games. If Nintendo is impressed with the demo, they may choose to fund the rest of the game.
