The January release list gives a hint of things to come.
Nintendo has posted twelve new games on their Japanese Virtual Console web page. Each of these games will be released in January, though specific days have not yet been set.

Korean DS launches in early 2007; Korean Wii in late 2007.
Back in July, Nintendo opened a new Korean branch with the assumption that it would be used to better market and distribute their games and game hardware. It looks like Nintendo will be doing just that, as they've announced they will be bringing Korean-language versions of the DS and Wii to the country next year.

The free trial version of the Wii Opera browser can now be obtained through the Wii Shop Channel.
Everyone in the world can now surf the Internet with the Wii remote. Nintendo just put the Wii Internet Channel up in the Wii Ware section of the Wii Shop Channel, and you can now hop on your console to download it. Weighing in at a hefty 278 blocks, the Opera-powered browser works just like a standard web browser, only designed for displaying webpages on your television screen.

If you're lucky enough to live in Europe or Australia, go turn on your Wii and check out the Forecast Channel. After a system update, you'll be able to check out the weather all around the globe. Those of us in North America will have to wait for Wednesday the 20th to roll around before we can stop going to weather.com and start spinning the Wii's weather globe.

As per usual, Hudson is ready to spill the beans before anyone else: Military Madness is coming to Virtual Console.
Hudson's website has updated to include a Virtual Console title only announced previously for European markets. Typically, Hudson's updates indicate that the new title will be released on VC the following Monday, so expect Military Madness for the Turbo-Grafx 16 to be available for download in just two short days.
