The critically acclaimed title is seeing a console release, but not on Wii U.
Although the Wii U version was announced early, Gone Home's console releases will not be heading to Nintendo systems.
Fullbright Games and Midnight City reconfirmed the console releases today would be for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Development head Steve Gaynor confirmed to us that this is those are the only systems in active development:

New content promised for Nintendo fans.
The construction sensation Minecraft is finally coming to the Wii U.

Europe will be digging into it before Christmas
Yacht Club Games has confirmed the launch date for the Shovel Knight amiibo, and Europe will be having a very merry Christmas.
The amiibo will launch in Europe on 11 December, with a North American release to follow on January 8 in order to ensure there is enough to meet the demand. Some European stores have the amiibo and have sold it, including to Nintendo World Report European chief Daan Koopman.

The PC sensation hops into a crowded field on the 3DS
Add another game to the list of eShop games dropping next week.
The developers of Terraria have announced that the PC hit's 3DS version will come to the eShop next week for $19.99/€19.99/£16.99. A physical version, as well as the Wii U version, are still expected to follow early next year.
Terraria joins SteamWorld Heist and FAST Racing Neo in next Thursday's eShop premium lineup.

December continues to deliver the big hits on the eShop.
Tomorrow's eShop update in North America will be bringing a relative rarity.
Trauma Team, the 2010 Atlus published adventure game/surgery simulator, will launch on the eShop tomorrow at noon Eastern time for US$19.99/C$24.99. This marks the first 3rd party Wii title to get a digital release on the North American eShop.

The 3DS hit's sequel will launch on other platforms next year
Image and Form has confirmed the date and price for SteamWorld Heist.
The indie hit will launch in North America and Europe on December 10, at US$19.99/C$21.99/€19.99/£14.99. A launch discount of $3/€3/£3 will be active until December 31.
Image and Form confirmed in their note to us that the game is expected to last 20-25 hours, and will not go on sale for "a very long while" following the expiration of the launch deal.

Pokkén Tournament's roster will expand slightly next week.
The game's official Twitter announced today that they plan to unleash the next playable Pokémon into the game on December 10. According to Gematsu the teaser contains the Japanese character ン, which roughly translates to the letter N with no vowels.

Reminder: That's shipped to suppliers, not consumers.
Some members of the supply chain may have begun floating shipment numbers for new Nintendo hardware to release in 2016.
According to the Taiwanese newspaper DigiTimes, the new system would enter production at the end of the 1st quarter of 2016 - whether fiscal (April - June) or calendar (January - March) is not specified - and would ship between 10 and 12 million units in the first year.

A few updates round out the week
Some of the big Nintendo games have had minor content releases today:
A new event stage is live in Super Mario Maker that is based around NES Remix, the completion of which gives a Mystery Mushroom unlock of the Frog Suit. No word as to why the Frog Suit is being confined to the Mario 1 tileset.
