Two hardcore shooters look to be headed to North America shortly
The ESRB has updated ratings for import N64 game Sin and Punishment as well as its Wii sequel, Sin and Punishment Star Successor.
The listing indicates that the two games will release on Virtual Console soon. The original game will be eligible for upgrade pricing for those who purchased the import version on Wii, while Star Successor's online leaderboards will not be available due to their use of the now-closed Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

UPDATE: Nintendo has confirmed to us that the game is the Famicom Disc System version, including the track editor, additional tracks/music and 2 player multiplayer. According to Nintendo Inquirer, one of the missing pieces for the fall 2015 lineup may have fallen into place.
A PR obtained by Nintendo Inquirer has the board game releasing on November 13 in North America. The US$59.99 package will include the game, two Amiibo (Isabelle and Digby) and three Amiibo cards.

A second Just Dance title will be hitting the Wii U and Wii this holiday.
Just Dance: Disney Party 2 was announced by way of a trailer on Ubisoft's Youtube channel. Unlike the original (2012) game, this version has not had any animated songs announced, focusing on Disney Channel songs. Girl Meets World, Teen Beach 2 and Violetta are among the shows and films that will be represented in the game.

Kids, squids, Pokémon and Kirby villians up for grabs.
A new group of Amiibo restocks have been revealed by Nintendo's compliance with the United States Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act regulations.
Mixed in with the reveals of the upcoming Amiibo include a group of rare Amiibo restocks. The listing on Nintendo's website confirms the following will be restocked: All Splatoon Amiibo including the 3-pack, Toad, Little Mac, Captain Falcon, Lucario and Wario.

Ahead of the reveal of the upcoming Wii U game's eclectic soundtrack next Monday, listen to this song.
On Monday, we at Nintendo World Report will be revealing the full soundtrack for 13AM Games' debut game Runbow, which is a crazy nine-player platformer with snazzy visuals, tons of guest characters, and as you'll soon find out, a rad soundtrack.
There's more to the soundtrack than meets the ear, and we'll reveal 13AM Games' process and creation of the soundtrack next week. Until then, enjoy this choice song from the soundtrack.

Get ready for your own G(archomp)1 Climax.
The 2015 World Pokémon Championships kicked off with a major Wii U announcement.
Pokkén Tournament has been announced for the Wii U, releasing in all territories in Spring 2016. The game is currently going through balance testing in Japanese arcades.
The announcement also confirmed that Pikachu Libre, a Fighting-typed form Pikachu featured in Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, will be playable in the Wii U game.

It's a heavy week for the North American side of the downloads, as usual. Despite Freedom Planet having its release held to squash more freeze bugs, there's a couple of strategic sequels on the Wii U Virtual Console as Hardcore August rolls on, and several indie titles including a game that you might already own thanks to crossbuy if you bought into the Humble Nindie Bundle.

Now how much would you pay?
Nintendo of America has just announced their first hardware price drop in nearly two years, with the 2DS benefitting.
A press statement announced that the entry level handheld will have a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $99.99 effective August 30. Mario Kart 7 will still be included in all 2DS systems.

A new stage will drop tomorrow night and leave the squidkids in the midst of a giant apartment complex.
Flounder Heights will join the rotation tomorrow night at 10 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Pacific. The centerpiece of the map is a giant apartment building that is in the center of the map, meaning you'll have to somehow get around it to reach the enemy base.

The 3DS is about to get another test of its physics handling.
Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson has been announced for a September 15 release in North America by XSEED, following its 27 August release in Europe. North America will be able to get the game on the eShop for US$39.99, but a physical copy known as the "Double D Edition" will be available for $49.99 bundled with a 60 song soundtrack.

"Hardcore August" continues with some Intelligent Systems strategy
Nintendo's game list has updated to announce Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising will be tomorrow's Wii U Virtual Console release.
The sequel to the GBA launch title released in 2003 originally, and came out in Europe on July 2. The main additions were a group of additional commanding officers and the storyline follows on from the original's.

Nintendo World Report staff have already begun the localization demands.
One of the most beloved DS puzzle games is getting a sequel.
A Nintendo website was just updated to announce that Picross 3D 2 will release on October 1 in Japan for 3000yn + tax. The website promises over 300 puzzles will be included in the package.

A warning for Europe: You get one shot.
Sega has released the demo for their upcoming 3DS rhythm title Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX.
Available now in the eShop, the demo contains two songs playable on each of the game's difficulty levels. The North American version of the demo has the standard 30 plays, while the European demo originally launched with one use. As the Japanese demo had 30 uses, this may be a glitch.
