Here it is, the hidden footage Metroid fans have been waiting for.
You may have seen the E3 footage of Samus wall-jumping back and forth through a vertical corridor. What you probably haven't seen is the other Screw Attack footage, the one proving that this famous move can indeed be used anywhere in the game, and that it even includes (or can be combined with) a new Space Jump, which lets Samus literally fly.

Well, well, look at this little guy.
Famitu's website has published the above screenshot from Pikmin 2, clearly showing one of the game's enemies with a Pikmin-like leaf growing from its head. Though we are waiting for a detailed translation, the surrounding text makes it clear that this creature is friendly and can be used to carry items and attack enemies, just like a Pikmin. We'll update this article once we know more about how to acquire this most unusual companion.

Check out a nice little video of Konami's upcoming movie-licensed game.
The tale of King Arthur is based on fact...at least according to the upcoming movie and Konami's game adaptation, which will be released on GameCube as well as other platforms. The game looks to be very similar to EA's Lord of the Rings action games, as you can see in the trailer.

See the huge E3 trailer for this light-sensing sequel, complete with a manga kid tutorial and loads of Engrish.
Boktai 2: Solar Boy Django was unfortunately not playable at E3 2004, but Konami has provided this monstrous (40 MB) trailer to satisfy your Boktai needs. The movie is structured as a tutorial, with a kid explaining how the game works to his friend. There's also plenty of gameplay footage, plus a few hints at the sequel's new features.

Atari has provided us with a trailer for their new GBA game, Duel Masters: Sempai Legends. The game is scheduled for release this week, and the publisher describes it as a virtual collectible trading card game, somewhere between Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering in terms of complexity.

Say goodbye to the GBA. The SP now reigns supreme. Also, China gets GBA.
The Magicbox is reporting on a new announcement form Nintendo of Japan. The company has taken the old model of the Game Boy Advance out of mass production. The system isn't gone for good though. From now on they will only be produced on a per order basis. The Game Boy Advance SP will stay in mass production.

Games based on movies show less than stellar sales.
It has become common that a video game will be released alongside a major motion picture. In addition to the usual critical malaise surrounding these games, an article from the New York Times reports that licensed games also sell poorly. The article mentions that of all the licensed games published last year, only Enter the Matrix reached the top 10 in NPD sales charts.

For hardcore Metroid fans in Japan, Nintendo has created yet another two-tone system color.
Nintendo Co. Ltd. in Japan is now offering yet another color option for GBA SP owners. This limited edition Samus Aran model is orange and red, with an insignia in the lower-right corner of the inner face. The new color theme is apparently available only as a casing swap through NCL's Club Nintendo service.

Warner Bros. will start raising royalty fees for games that make a mockery of its properties.
