Despite there being more than twice as many launch Wiis than PS3s, EB and GameStop may only be giving out the same amount of pre-orders for each console. Updated with pictures.

Developer of Viewtiful Joe series will be no more as of the end of March 2007.
Capcom Japan issued a press release today stating that Clover Studio, developer of the popular Viewtiful Joe series (as well as PS2 titles Okami and God Hand), will be dissolved as of the end of March 2007. In the press release, Capcom cited the reason for the dissolution as part of a "business strategy that concentrates management resources on a selected business to enhance the efficiency of the development power of the entire Capcom group".

U.S. pre-orders start TOMORROW (10/13) for $50 deposit, Canadian pre-orders begin on Monday (10/16) for $200 CDN cash/credit or $50 CDN trade-in.
Gamestop/EB Games has just announced that they will begin accepting Wii pre-orders at their U.S. retail stores starting Friday, October 13th. These pre-orders will be registered on a first-come, first-serve basis, and a $50 deposit is required (this deposit amount can come from cash, credit, or trade).

The Japanese can pre-order the game and get it sent to them the same day the Wii launches.
Nintendo's Japanese site has updated its GameCube games page with information on the GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Most immediately, there's confirmation that the GC version of the game will be released in a territory outside of North America, something that wasn't entirely certain beforehand.
