The browser will hit Japan soon, but there isn't any new info for the U.S. date.

Japanese gamers hoping to go online with their DS found out the Opera Browser's release date today, currently set for July 24th. It'll retail for 3,800 yen, and will be packaged with a memory expansion pack.

European and U.S. gamers are out of luck for right now, though, as new info on the browser won't be available until it hits the Land of the Rising Sun which is, once again, July 24th.

Stay tuned to PGC as more on this story breaks.

Hopefully it won't take three years to load this post.

I wouldn't use it much, but I know others would. I want them to bring it here, but i'm not sure if they will(especially since they still haven't release the Play-Yan here yet).

The thing does come with a 10MB RAM expansion cartridge and from what I've heard it works really well.

From my experience, it works the opposite of well.

But they may have optimized it a great deal since E3, and it's even possible that the E3 demo unit didn't have the memory expansion. That would certainly explain why it took two minutes to render each page.

I actually had much less trouble with the E3 demo than Jonny did. I asked the rep if the RAM expansion was in there, but it turns out the whole thing was running off of a dev kit, so any measure of performance is probably way off.
