DK's simian pal is the newest Smash Bros. fighter.
First appearing in the Rare-developed platformer, Donkey Kong Country, thirteen years ago, Diddy Kong has recently appeared in the Donkey Konga series, Diddy Kong Racing DS, and several Mario spin-off games. Though conspicuously absent as even a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, DK's buddy now enters the arena as the latest fighter to be unveiled for Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

MTV Networks wants more from the games industry, and will spend over $500 million over the next two years to do so.
In part due to growth of its current gaming properties and an increase of traffic in its various casual games web sites, the music television giant and its networks want to expand their collective presence and grab a larger piece of the gaming industry pie. To do this, MTV has announced that it will be investing more than $500 million in games over the next two years.

Another Wii system update already?
Nintendo sent another message to Wii consoles tonight notifying users of another system update. Apparently there was a stability issue that occurred when the Reset button was pressed while using the Opera Internet Channel. Also, something was done to address stability issues when using the Wii LAN Adapter.

The newest playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is Ash...or whatever you named him in the Pokemon games.
The newest character in SSB Brawl is... Pokemon Trainer! This nameless trainer hangs around in the background, controlling one of three Pokemon who actually do the fighting for him. Pokemon Trainer always has access to Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard, who share the same damage percentage. You rotate through them by using Pokemon Trainer's "Down" special attack.
