Play as Pikachu and explore the colorful Pokemon world, play some mini-games, and take a few pictures.

Nintendo has formally announced a new Pokemon spin-off title called Pokepark Wii. The game, originally announced at a retailer conference in Japan, stars Pikachu as he interacts with other Pokemon characters by playing mini-games. More translated details were posted at PixlBit.Once the task is completed that Pokemon will join Pikachu. Some of the confirmed mini-games, according to the retailers who attended the event, are battle, tag, and a quiz.

Once Pikachu befriends enough Pokemon they can visit a park in which other mini-games will be available, such as a racing game, as well as a swimming game and a flying game. Finally, players can take pictures of the events and characters and save them directly to an SD card.

Pokepark Wii will be available in Japan on December 5, for a suggested retail price of ¥4,800 ($53).
