One of the most anticipated titles of 2008, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games brings the excitement of intense athletic competition to the most popular handheld system on the market and offers players the chance to play as their favorite video game hero from the world of Mario or Sonic - 8 from each universe - in a series of action-packed Olympic events. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is also available for the Wii™ home video game system.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, created specifically to take advantage of all the popular DS capabilities, is packed with 16 official challenges including two DS-exclusive events - 10m Platform (Diving) and Pursuit (Cycling). In this epic battle for Gold, players can interact with their chosen video game hero via the Nintendo DS's unique Touch Screen and stylus. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games also features eight exciting Dream events - five of which are exclusive to the handheld game - Dream Canoe Dream Boxing, Dream Basketball, Dream Long Jump and Dream Shooting. Available in both single and multiplayer modes, Dream events takes Olympic sports and bring them into vivid video game-inspired worlds filled with obstacles and power-ups.

With three gameplay modes, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games features gameplay and competitions for all ages as well as all types of gamers, from beginner to expert. The game features a Single Match Mode where players can choose one specific event to play, as well as the Circuit Mode where players can choose from a series of events.

Gamers can also try their hand at the Mission Mode and fulfill a series of solo challenges that test their athletic capabilities, timing and reflexes. For those looking for an extra challenge, explore the Gallery, where mini-games and Olympic trivia come together to test who is the ultimate superstar.
