Site is updated with new information about characters, story, and gameplay mechanics.

After recently releasing a new trailer for the upcoming Wii title Pandora's Tower, Nintendo has also updated the game's official website with a wealth of information regarding the story, character backgrounds, and the in-game system. Below, is a break down of the updated  information from the website.

Characters and Story

Ende – The character that the player controls throughout the game. He is 25 years old and originally hails from Athens. Wielder of a sword and an orichalcum chain, you will guide Ende through thirteen towers of enemies in an effort to save his lady friend, Ceres, from a curse that is slowly turning her into a beast.

Ceres – This is the girl featured on the teaser site with the markings on her back and the character that you are trying to save from a terrible curse. The cure? After defeating various creatures as Ende, you return to Ceres with beast flesh (which appear to be the hearts of these monsters). To counteract the curse, Ceres must eat the flesh. She is 18 years old and comes from the Kingdom of Elysium (which in Greek mythology refers to the final resting place of heroic and victorious souls).

Graiai – A dwarf-like old woman who is helps out Ende to rid Ceres of the curse by providing them with information, namely, letting them both know that Ceres must consume this beast flesh in order to help lift the curse.

Gameplay Mechanics

As mentioned above, the game revolves around getting this beast flesh to Ceres in order to keep her from becoming a beast herself. There is a gauge on the bottom left hand corner of the screen that indicates how close Ceres is to turning into a beast. If the gauge empties, the game is over. Pandora's Tower also features a numerous amount of puzzles, which try to trip up players on their quest to reach the boss/beast areas. Many of the puzzle pictures on the updated website seem to make use of the Wii remote pointer as players try to figure out what needs to be done to proceed.

Ok for fighting 13 TOWERS worth of enemies it would need to be more then a Lady Friend.  Like Best Friend, blood relative, GF, Wife, Fiance...

1 tower maybe 2 towers but Thirteen...

Perhaps their relationship will be explained in game. Or perhaps not given most video game and Japanese fantasy stories.

I still have worries that the time limit might be a detriment to the game for a lot of people. From the what is translated from the website, it reads like the game is sectioned by the boss fights that you have to rush to get to and rush to defeat.

I thought earlier bits said it was his sister.

I went through the website again, and did not really see anything else explaining the relationship between the two. It could just be one of those things where Ende is just compelled to help her for no reason other than upholding his honor as a soldier...or getting a piece of tail afterwards.  :P:

There are some parts on the website that seems like parts of it will be updated probably over the next month coming up to the release. If you want to see what I'm talking about, as soon as you get to the page, click on the first tab (the one on farthest on the left). After that, again on the bottom, click on the second tab. This brings up the page about the towers. Once you are there, you can see on the right hand side of the page that there are some blanked out tabs. My guess is that they'll update those and give us some more information about them pretty soon.
