Another HD Wii game, look at all those HD colors!!!

Brown, beige & grey.

I hope there are some more colorful environments in the game somewhere.
Otherwise it looks great and I have already considered this as purchased.

As I said in the forum thread for this game, there's just something about this overly dark and gritty art style that doesn't sit well with me for a Wii project.  All those browns and greys just don't look good (though I do like the colors with that last segment) and there are some blurry textures in there, though this is definitely a higher quality video than the first version of this trailer I saw.  The combat system looks serviceable, a combination of a hack & slash RPG and a 3rd person shooter w/ cover mechanic.  The conversation system could be quite cinematic, though we don't get a good enough look at combat interactions to tell for sure.  The only thing that stood out for me is the music, and who knows given modern Uematsu if that track is indicative of the entire soundtrack (to me, FF X was his last hurrah).

Overall, the game looks pretty average, though definitely on a higher tier than something like Arc Rise Fantasia.  I'll have to see what comes of the localization, if any, to better gauge if the game appeals to me.

I think it looks great.  Love the colors.  Down with neon.  Brown and beige and grey people of the world unite!

Damn, that is one sweet trailer, makes me happy yet sad at the same time.  I really hope we get this before the end of the YEAR!  It depends on the RPG, lighter tones of color usually don't go well with a story that's about war/loss so from what I saw the color theme seems to fit the story settings.

It looks great, I think they wanted a 'gritty image' so that is why the colors are that way. It looks like a good mix of japanese RPG with American 3rd person action, which seems like a winer.

I'm more excited for this than for Xenoblade. Glad they finally showed a trailer. It had better come to the states.

Trailer looked great. I really hope we get to play this.

For those of you who think colors don't work in gritty stories I have one thing to say: "Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality."

Trailer looks awesome, fighting sequences seem weird. Will this be real time or turn base? Seems like a mix of both.

If anything, the combat system looked a little like Final Fantasy XII to me, maybe just with some duck and cover tactics added.  It will probably be something between real time and turn-based, like an MMO, where you have selected actions that require specified amount of time to execute and "cool-down."

If it works similarly to FFXI, I'm in heaven. :D

See my sig.  'nuff said.

It wasn't just the palette choice in the textures.  Did anyone else notice that nearly every shot of the sky in that trailer was cloudy and gray or brown, even at night?  Yuck.
