Japanese eShop Launch Revealed 3DS

There will be 10 games launching with the service, as well as an Internet browser.

Six Virtual Console, two 3D Classics, and two other titles will help launch the eShop in Japan. An Internet browser will also launch with the service next week.

Metal Gear Solid 3D Features Different Control Methods, Touch Screen Map 3DS

Tactile bridge crossing and weapon selection included in Snake's 3D adventure.

Gyroscopic control and touch screen are options in Metal Gear Solid 3D, according to Twitter posts by Hideo Kojima.

The series creator announced that he just completed playing the E3 demo for MGS3D, and that he had used the gyro controls on the 3DS unit to cross a rope bridge safely.

Also revealed was that the player will be able to select Snake's weapons via the touch screen.

ESRB Rates Alleyway for 3DS Virtual Console 3DS

Breakout-style Game Boy game among the first to be confirmed for the upcoming download service.

Alleyway, a Game Boy game developed by Nintendo's Intelligent Systems and released in 1989, has been rated by the ESRB as a 3DS Virtual Console title.

The game features gameplay similar to the classic game Breakout, with the player controlling a paddle on the bottom of the screen attempting to keep a ball bouncing to break the wall of blocks at the top. Mario makes a guest appearance in the game as the guy piloting the paddle.

La-Mulana to Release in Japan This Month Wii

WiiWare title's North American and European release dates to be announced after E3.

La-Mulana, a WiiWare-exclusive action game from developer Nigoro, will be released in Japan on June 21, with a Western release at a later date. The developer blog announced that they were going through the approval processes for the North American and European markets, and they would announce release dates for those territories as soon as they were available.
