US Concepts Selected as Agency for Nintendo

Kicking off Second Annual Cube Club Tour on October 17

NEW YORK, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Concepts, a subsidiary of CoActive Marketing Group, Inc., a full service marketing, sales promotion and interactive services company, today announced the New York City-based event marketing agency, has been chosen by Nintendo to handle its GameCube promotion for 2002. The assignment comes after an extensive agency review and follows US Concepts' successful execution of the Nintendo Street Team promotion this summer.

US Concepts will launch Nintendo's Reggie Award-winning Cube Club program on October 17 for a 10-week tour visiting 15 markets across the country. Setting up inside vacant retail spaces, lofts and other party spots, Cube Clubs will be created in each city's high-traffic center. A unique gaming experience, the Cube Clubs offer consumers the opportunity to play Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance inside a club-like atmosphere, with high-tech lighting, refreshments, and local DJ's spinning cutting edge music. Participants will also have the opportunity to sample Nintendo's newest software titles such as Super Mario Sunshine (released on 8.26.02) Star Fox Adventures (released on 9.23.02) Metroid Prime (to be released on 11.18.02) and The Legend of Zelda (to be released in 2003). Prizes will be awarded through sweepstakes by Nintendo and Panasonic.

To promote the Cube Club in each city, US Concepts will staff and manage Nintendo Hype Teams to distribute tickets at local malls, skate parks and other teen and young adult hangouts. Tickets will also be available online. In addition, local advertising and national media partners will help promote.
