We already know it's launching in Japan this summer, but it looks like the rest of the world may be getting in 2015 too!

The newly-announced Fire Emblem title for Nintendo 3DS is apparently launching in more than just Japan in 2015.

According to an email sent out by Nintendo of Australia, the next entry in Intelligent Systems' popular strategy series will be out before year's end. We already know the game is set to arrive in Japan this summer, so it's reasonable to believe it'll be available in other parts of the globe this year too.

Details on this new Fire Emblem remain scarce, but you can be sure we'll hear plenty more from Nintendo in the months to come. In the meantime, check out the game's stunning announcement trailer right here.

Personally this kind of makes me worried about FE x SMT. I know it has been awhile since Awakening but the turn around just feels a little fast which makes me wonder if when the Atlas Merger happened the game fell through and they just used what was developed for that game to make this one.

You might be right, but why wouldn't they tell us, at least in a press release if they don't want to make a big deal out of it. Instead they've done the opposite and assured us that it's still coming and it's on schedule (goo look at the coverage from E3 2014 when they said Codenamd:S.T.E.A.M. hasn't hurt the dev cycle of this crossover and it's still on schedule

I think it helps that they've already made Fire Emblem Awakening. There is probably a lot of code and assists that they can reuse for this game giving them a greater head start and faster completion time than Awakening. It's like how Majora's Mask used a lot of elements from Ocarina of Time which allowed it to be created faster than Ocarina of Time.

Possible they made that a back burner title while they finished this game. I hope we still get it as it may be my only hope for a new console Fire Emblem.

If the game sticks to its summer date in Japan, it will come 3 years after the release of Awakening. Not bad if the game borrows slightly from Awakening, plus it will probably have over a year's worth of development with the new 3DS hardware.
