New Daisy, Fox McCloud costumes announced as well as Tag Climax mode!

Costumes based on Nintendo franchises, as well as a new Tag Climax mode have been announced for the upcoming title Bayonetta 2.

Nintendo costumes had been previously announced for the game, but the Fox McCloud and Princess Daisy costumes were revealed today in the Bayonetta 2 Direct. Previous costumes announced included Princess Peach, Samus and Link.

One of the new modes detailed is Tag Climax mode. This is an online multiplayer mode in which you team up with another person in six rounds to take on waves of enemies. The score you obtain in the game will allow you to rack up halos, which can be used in the story mode to buy new weapons and items. You can also bet with the halos to increase difficulty. More characters are playable in this mode, such as Rodin and Jeanne.

The Direct also talked about story mode, in which you need to rescue Jeanne from hell when her soul is taken after trying to protect Bayonetta. Various styles of combat were shown, including aerial and underwater battles, as well as vehicle combat. Weapons were also shown to be customizable and are able to be bought at Rodin’s shop for LP records.

Bayonetta 2 will be available on October 24. The Direct finished with a new trailer, which you can see at the end of the Direct via the source link.

Waiting for the inevitable Captain Falcon costume.

That MP sounds like ME3 MP except you get money instead and is actually beneficial to the main storyline.

Online co-op? Was not expecting that, but I'm not sure if that's enough to get me interested.

This reminds me of when Mario and company showed up in SSX on GameCube, it was supposed to be consolation for the fact all sports games coming to Game Cube were getting their online modes cuts out. I wonder what this is consolation for, complete lack of 3rd party games? Anyways I guess Nintendo is really making this their own game which is kind of ironic considering the last was published by Sega. Kind of like a fuck you to them I think.

I love me some online co-op. Definitely enough to tug at my interest strings. :)

Maybe we'll have a slutty, Nigri-esque Pikachu while we're at it.

Install Gardevoir; problem solved.

Their capture seems to be very spotty though.
