The princess takes a break from being kidnapped to engage in more wanton brawling.

Princess Peach has been confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

This is the third time Peach has appeared in Nintendo's crossover fighting series, having featured in the character rosters for Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl. Screenshots posted on the official Smash Bros. website indicate that she will use many of the attacks she had in previous games, including her Toad counter-shield.

She joins a roster of 15 confirmed characters, which includes newcomers Mega Man, the Villager from Animal Crossing and the Wii Fit Trainer.

Peach needs a new Final Smash. I'd like to see her run through the gamut of emotions from Super Princess Peach. I always thought her face looked a bit off in Brawl compared to Melee. Might have been her eyes. From these screenshots, her face looks closer to Melee while her dress is more reminiscent to Brawl.

I be more excited if it was Super Princess Peach w/ a moveset that indicated that.

I like her moveset for the most part though I rarely ever used her Toad counter. I think the emotions work better for a Final Smash.

Super Princess Peach you can play with barely using th emotions.  I don't really consider them part of her kit.  I keep the original Peach in but a Super version would be interesting to say the least.

If Toad is still a move then he's probably not a character... :(

Didn't Peach have a third eye in Brawl?

You're probably thinking of the Daisy trophy in Melee.

Like i said for luigi... WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED!? NWR stop posting bloody obviousl things!

This is their Nintendo website and they can post whatever the hell they want. If you don't like it, you are free to leave and create your own website to do with what you want. I can't believe you're even bitching about this which is ridiculous even for you.

More importantly, Nintendo released a bunch of brand new pics of both games when Sakurai has been mainly releasing one per weekday on Miiverse. That sounds newsworthy to me.

I was hoping his reveal trailer would show Peach trying to use him but then he jumps out and kicks her. :(

Peach has a new Special Move that uses Ridley!  :Q

That would fit better for Samus.

You are a stink bag. While Peach is an obvious choice, some people wait on pins and needles for their favorite characters. Peach is a no brainier but not very one studies Smash history. They may equate Brawl dropping Dr Mario, Roy, Mewtwo, etc as something that foreshadows Smash 4's roster.

We've only got a hand full of veterans shown so far, with only 3 newcomers. So any characters making it to the home coming is very welcome and news worthy. Not to mention there are all kinds of interesting details in these pictures alone. Peach's animations aren't complete. Look at her up tilt, she should be holding her dress like in Brawl. She now uses her crown in her forward air which might help against clashing with other characters. No stockings, look at them legs. Not to mention Sakurai mentioning that her moves aren't finalized yet so she and many other revealed characters so far may very well get new moves like DK with a roll attack.

You're a crooked jerky choky and you drive a crooked hoss.
