Some classic Pokémon have new power!
Professor Sycamore, the Professor of the Kalos region, will be giving Pokémon players the Kanto starter Pokémon (Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur) in Pokémon X and Y. Additionally, the Kanto starter Pokémon's final forms (Blastoise, Charizard, Venusaur) will all have new Mega evolutions.
The new starters, Froakie, Fennekin, and Chespin, will be given to players by a close in-game friend before they meet Professor Sycamore.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be released worldwide on October 12, 2013.
