Every year we like to recognize the best in gaming on Nintendo consoles.

Wii - Game We'd Most Like to See on Wii

The NWR Award

LittleBigPlanet (Playstation 3)

Maybe it’s sacrilege, but sometimes we see a game on another platform and wish, “Geez, why can’t that be on the Wii?” This year, our vote goes to one of Sony’s best IPs in ages—LittleBigPlanet. This user-dominated game would be a perfect fit for the Wii. Pointer controls would really simplify the level-building process, and how awesome would it be to use Miis instead of Sackboys in the main game? Not to mention the potential for Nintendo-themed stickers, materials, and costumes! Although some of the textures might need to be simplified, Media Molecule probably wouldn’t have to radically alter the game’s graphical quality. Regardless, any hardware limitations aren’t likely to be what ultimately keeps a game like LBP away from the Wii. Rather, it seems to be Nintendo’s reluctance to embrace open online communities, and LBP has an enormous and enthusiastic one.

Runner-up: Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts (XBox 360)
