Now you can have a zombie in your pocket! Wait, is that a good thing?

In this week's Famitsu, it was revealed that Resident Evil will be making its way onto Nintendo's new portable system, just in time for Biohazard's 10th anniversary.

Essentially a remake (yes another one) of the original PlayStation Resident Evil, it is not yet clear whether the game will be going fully 3D or not. There are screens showing off a new First Person camera angle, but whether this is a bonus mode or not is not clear at this time.

Graphics appear slightly better than the original PSX release, though there are no official screenshots released as of yet. There's no word yet on extras on this new game, but one neat little detail is that evidently players will have to wipe blood off the screen after shooting zombies in a particularly gruesome fashion.

The Japan-exclusive music game will see a whopping 31-song expansion pack next month.

About a month and a half ago, visitors to the Band Bros. game page were informed that an expansion to the music game was in the works, and Nintendo wanted some input as to which songs they should include for it. Details on the expansion were to be announced at a later date.

That later date has arrived. On September 26, Nintendo will make the Band Bros. Expansion Cartridge available for purchase exclusively through their online store, for the low price of ¥2,530, plus a ¥450 shipping charge (around $27 in total). The expansion will contain 22 songs from various artists from Japan, as well as 9 songs from Nintendo's library of games, for a total of 31 new songs. For comparision's sake, the full version of Band Bros. has 39 songs, and retails for ¥4,800.

New Mario Kart DS DetailsDS

Nintendo of Europe got a chance to talk Hideo Konno about the game, and some new information was uncovered.

Konno is the Mario Kart expert around Nintendo, having been a major part of all the Kart games, producing the SNES and N64 games, and supervising the GBA game. With Mario Kart DS coming out in a few months, Nintendo of Europe decided to ask him a thing or two about the game.

Items in Mario Kart have always been a critical factor in how a race would be played out, and the new DS version will have new items, some specifically tailored to the dual-screen setup. For instance, Blooper the squid is a new item in the game, and when someone hits it, ink will cover the top screen and blind the player. However, they can still see where they are on the bottom screen's track map, so they can navigate that way until the ink goes away.

The top man at Lionhead Studios has seen the controller, and can only say one thing about it...

Peter Molyneux and Lionhead studios have been busy putting together games coming to Nintendo systems. The Movies is scheduled for a GameCube release in November, and the DS version of the studio's most famous PC creation, the God game Black & White, will be out early next year.

Molyneux was present at the German Games Confrence, which is finishing up this weekend. He was asked of the Revolution during an interview, specifically of the mysterious controller. Here's what he had to say:

First Revolution Pre-Order Offer SpottedWii

If you live in France, you too can take a wild guess at the Revolution's release date and price.

The French version of Amazon.com, Amazon.fr, has a pre-order page up for the Nintendo Revolution. For the low, low price of 300 Euros (or $365), French Nintendo fans can secure their very own Revolution on the posted ship date of June 15, 2006.

Or perhaps not. Nintendo has not announced either an official release date or price point for the Revolution in any territory, so the Amazon listing is likely a shot in the dark. To further prove the figures speculative, the price listed for the Revolution pre-sale is the same as their price set for the Xbox 360, also 300 Euros (which was recently confirmed to be an official price). The Revolution price is likely to be less than that of the Xbox 360, so Amazon's price listing is probably just a safety net until an official price point is announced.
