Nintendo have finally confirmed that Gamecube will hit shelves in the UK this spring. In typically understated fashion, a press relase from Nintendo Europe - after harping on about how well the console has done in the US - states that: "We are really excited about the launch of Nintendo Gamecube in Europe in spring next year."

Hurrah! At long last those crazy Ninty bods have got round to putting to rest the speculation that Gamecube may not make the UK till the autumn. Of course, they haven't actually been so bold as to name the actual date Gamecube will be released in the UK. That really would be expecting too much...
