Mark your calendars for July 17 and choose your thrill ride.

Following the success of #TeamDog v #TeamCat, the next Splatfest has been announced for North America.

On July 17, it's thrills vs chills as the Splatfest will pair roller coasters against water slides. As with Cat v Dog, the two sides will face off in a 24 hour Turf War to determine which amusement park staple is best.

Although the previous Splatfest was just last weekend, it was originally stated for June 20th, so it appears they will be a mid-month feature.

Talkback

I'm predicting another landslide when it comes to the popularity totals, probably 70% Coasters 30% Water Slides. It's really not a contest, and likewise I doubt the Splatfest itself will really be one either.

I would choose Water Slides.  There is nothing better than a great Water Slide.

But I agree.  However, it is very hard to find things that should be split evenly.  Cats and Dogs should have been...but wasn't.  How about Food?  Pizza vs. Hamburgers? Nope.  Colors?  Maybe.

How about Pirates vs. Ninjas?  Nope landslide Ninjas.  They should really just make it random.

I am hoping they eventually add bigger maps and allow for 4 on 4 teams They could drop the number of players to 3 players each, or even 2.

During Splatfest was there any way of finding out how well either side is doing, I didn't look very hard but I feel not knowing really took away from my experience.

I'm just going to figure out where the bandwagon is and join that side. No reason to bother with actual opinions if its just going to be decided by popularity.

Nothing official, but if one side's complaining on Twitter that they're stuck in civil wars they probably won popularity.
