You'll be duking it out against a cyborg piranha army!

New gameplay details for Jett Rocket II were unveiled during the iDEAME conference in Spain, where various developers come together and talk games. Jett Rocket II is a 3DS sequel to the Shin'en-developed WiiWare game, Jett Rocket.

Jett's newest adventure will feature three different kinds of levels, which will all have their own special features. There are seven 2D platforming levels, four racing levels on a jetski, and four 3D levels. These 3D levels are described to be inspired by games as Super Mario 3D Land, so camera angles will, for example, be completely fixed.

Most of Jett's moves from the WiiWare entry return, as he jumps and rolls into enemies to defeat them. Jett Rocket II will have new bosses, with one of them being a giant robot who uses a circular saw and laser beams. He will also do battle with a deadly cyborg piranha army.

It is unknown when Jett Rocket II will be released, but we look forward from hearing of Shin'en and this Nintendo 3DS eShop title.

Talkback

I should really play the first one. It always looked fantastic.

It seems they went with 3D Land style side view this time around, which is a bit shame. I've already played SML3D on my 3DS.

I'd prefer if they kept 64/Galaxy style of gameplay.

Ah well.
