SpotPass is long dead in Japan, but Tobidas, a comedy sketch program, rises from the dead and comes to Nintendo Video.
Daily Tobidas, a program that formerly appeared on the Nintendo 3DS on the Japan only SpotPass TV, has made a return to the system on Nintendo Video. Rebranded as Tobidas Z due to no longer being a daily program, the show focuses on comedy sketches mixed with a little bit of talk about Nintendo software.... Read more...

Apparently solving puzzles in Professor Layton is more important than your job.
Penélope Cruz and Mónica Cruz are featured in a new commercial for Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask.
The commercial starts with Penélope trying to help her sister complete a puzzle in the new game. She is interrupted, however, and called to the scene of some sort of film shoot. Whilst performing her scene, she stops and rushes back to her sister with the solution to the puzzle she was trying to complete.

The digital version of the game will be cheaper, but at the expense of a massive chunk of hard drive space.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition will be sold on the Wii U eShop, as well as at retail, when it launches alongside the new console.
In Japan, players who buy the digital version will make a small savings, as Namco Bandai Games revealed that the download will cost 6,280 yen, whereas the retail version is priced slightly higher at 6,980 yen. Pricing details for the Western release are yet to be announced.

You'll have to enter a lottery if you want a chance to buy this Charizard-themed 3DS.
An ultra-limited edition black 3DS XL sporting a special Charizard decal has been confirmed for Japan.
This Charizard 3DS XL will only be available to a select few fortunate customers. From November 3 to November 26, 2012, consumers in Japan can enter their name and details into a lottery-style promotion to try and reserve the system.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 will be making its way on to Japan's 3DS Virtual Console in the coming week. The game will be the Game Gear version of the game, not the better know Sega Mega Drive version. The game will be released for 300 yen on October 31, 2012 in the Nintendo eShop.

Fire Emblem: Awakening was shown off in English for the first time ever during the today's Nintendo Direct.
First confirmed for North American release during E3 2012, the first Fire Emblem 3DS title is coming to North American in early 2013, or in "just a few more months" according to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.

The anticipated Animal Crossing entry on 3DS has finally been given a name in North America.
The upcoming Animal Crossing entry on the Nintendo 3DS has been officially titled Animal Crossing: New Leaf in North America. This information comes from the latest North America Nintendo Direct.
In Japan, the game is titled Animal Crossing: Jump Out and is releasing on November 8. North America currently doesn't have a set-in-stone release date, but the game is expected to release in that market "in the first part of 2013."

Luigi's Mansion 2, called Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon in North America, is heading to Japan in the first quarter of 2013. The game, which was previously given a general 2013 release date, has had its release window narrowed down slightly. While it has been given an official name in North America, Japan is still using the name Luigi's Mansion 2. Whether this will change is currently unknown.

Those looking for more challenges and coins will be very pleased.
Two New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC level packs will be available today in Japan as soon as the Nintendo Direct presentation concludes, for 200 yen each.
The first set of levels is known as the Gold Mushroom pack and will present the player with many opportunities to collect valuable Gold Mushrooms.
