Sonic The Hedgehog 2 will be making its way on to Japan's 3DS Virtual Console in the coming week. The game will be the Game Gear version of the game, not the better know Sega Mega Drive version. The game will be released for 300 yen on October 31, 2012 in the Nintendo eShop.

Check out the first English footage of the upcoming game, coming in early 2013.
Fire Emblem: Awakening was shown off in English for the first time ever during the today's Nintendo Direct.
First confirmed for North American release during E3 2012, the first Fire Emblem 3DS title is coming to North American in early 2013, or in "just a few more months" according to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.

The anticipated Animal Crossing entry on 3DS has finally been given a name in North America.
The upcoming Animal Crossing entry on the Nintendo 3DS has been officially titled Animal Crossing: New Leaf in North America. This information comes from the latest North America Nintendo Direct.
In Japan, the game is titled Animal Crossing: Jump Out and is releasing on November 8. North America currently doesn't have a set-in-stone release date, but the game is expected to release in that market "in the first part of 2013."

Nintendo continue to market and distribute Capcom titles in a new deal for MH3 Ultimate.

Wii U owners will have to wait to get their hands on HD Dragon Quest.

Catch those ghosts in 2013.
Luigi's Mansion 2, called Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon in North America, is heading to Japan in the first quarter of 2013. The game, which was previously given a general 2013 release date, has had its release window narrowed down slightly. While it has been given an official name in North America, Japan is still using the name Luigi's Mansion 2. Whether this will change is currently unknown.

Those looking for more challenges and coins will be very pleased.
Two New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC level packs will be available today in Japan as soon as the Nintendo Direct presentation concludes, for 200 yen each.
The first set of levels is known as the Gold Mushroom pack and will present the player with many opportunities to collect valuable Gold Mushrooms.

Nintendo's rhythm rock-out continues on their latest handheld.
A new Band Brothers game is in development for Nintendo 3DS, revealed in today's Nintendo Direct video.
This will be the third entry into the popular series of music games, and will release at some point next year.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Animal Crossing are still set for the first half of 2013.
Brain Age: Concentration Training, which came out in Japan in July, is getting delayed to Q1 2013 in North America. The game was originally slated for a December 3 release.
The reveal of the delay was buried in Nintendo's mid-year financial report, which also shows Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Animal Crossing 3DS slated for release during the first half of 2013.

Expect primarily 3DS information with a little bit on Wii U.
A Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation will take place tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. EST / 4 a.m. PST.
The event scheduled for October 25 is going to focus on both the Wii U and the 3DS. Some of the Wii U information will come in the form of additional details on a previously announced title. Most of the presentation will focus on the 3DS.

The DSiWare title replaces 3D Classics: Urban Champion.
Pro-Putt Domo is the latest Club Nintendo download reward. This DSiWare title can be purchased through Club Nintendo for 100 coins and will be available as a reward until November 4, 2012.
Pro-Putt Domo, along with the other Nintendo published Domo DSiWare games, were originally part of a Game Boy Advance title known as Domo-Kun no Fushigi Terebi, only released in Japan.

Nintendo's not giving up on the Wii just yet.
Nintendo has announced two new Wii console bundles, one which includes a copy of Skylanders Giants, the other with Just Dance 4. Both are due to arrive in stores November 4.
The Skylanders Giants bundle sells for $149.99 and includes the game, a Portal of Power, two Skylanders figures, and an exclusive Giant Skylander. The Wii itself is blue, and includes a matching Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk.
