In addition to the water, Switch owners will also be able to race on the snow next month.
Bigben Interactive will be publishing Snow Moto Racing Freedom on Switch next month. This will be the second racing game Bigben releases in February, with the first being Aqua Moto Racing Utopia which was announced last week.

Weird and exciting new ways to enjoy Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo has just announced Nintendo Labo, a new series of software, and cardboard accessories, coming to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Labo kits combine do-it-yourself modular cardboard projects with special Nintendo Switch software to create items, or Toy-Con, that can be used or played with when combined with Nintendo Switch Hardware. Two kits are currently planned.

The critically acclaimed adventure title captures another platform.
One of 2017's most acclaimed games will hit Switch very early next month.
A listing for Night in the Woods appeared on Nintendo's web store and the Switch eShop in North America today purporting a January 18 release for the game. Finji, who are handling publishing duties for the Switch version, would later clarify the release date would be February 1.

Not the Showcase Showdown, a Scribblenauts Showdown.
Soon Switch owners will be able to summon whatever they wish.
WB has announced the first Scribblenauts game to hit a Nintendo platform in four and a half years today, as Scribblenauts Showdown will release on Switch March 6. The previous title, Scribblenauts Unmasked, released on Wii U and 3DS in September of 2013.

Some surprising additions, if only because they weren't in the program already.
The Nintendo Selects family will be adding some new-to-North America members in a couple of weeks.
February 5 will see Super Mario 3D Land, The Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds, and Ultimate NES Remix join the discounted line. New packaging will be released for the physical versions that will cost US$19.99/C$29.99, while the same prices will be applied to the digital versions.

An upcoming version of an indie RPG success story will also be the first Switch title for a well known boutique publisher.
Mighty Rabbit Studios's hit Saturday Morning RPG will be coming to the Switch in the spring. Heavily inspired by cartoons of the late 1980s, the irreverent RPG originally debuted episodically on iOS in 2012 before following up with PC, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases.

Come March 23, Pikachu fans in the west will be able to explore the seedy underbelly of Ryme City in Detective Pikachu on 3DS.
Playing as the young Tim Goodman, you’ll partner up with gruff, battle hardened Pikachu as you investigate the disappearance of Tim’s father. Side-by-side, the two friends will be investigating clues and interrogate witnesses, including the many Pokemon that inhabit the city.

The Switch hits just keep on comin'.
A horror RPG hit on PC will mark its second anniversary by launching on Switch next week.
Darkest Dungeon, the side scrolling RPG from Red Hook Studios, will launch on the eShop next week. The base game will be US$24.99, with the game's current DLC "The Crimson Court" and "The Shieldbreaker" will be available for $7.99 and $3.99.

After Bayonetta, the Switch will be getting funky like a monkey.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will release on the Switch on May 4, and will include Funky Kong as a new playable character. Funky will have a loaded arsenal with an infinite roll, a double jump, and the ability to hover. Funky can also corkscrew underwater and use his surfboard to dodge spikes.

A pair of Nindies were given release dates in the today's Nintendo Direct.

With some exclusive content to go with it
Payday 2's latest heist will go down at the end of February.
The co-op action title will hit the Switch on February 27 in North America and 23 February in Europe, with support for both local and online co-op heists. The Switch version will have first access to a new character who sports a LED mask for additional expressiveness during missions.

The next batch of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle DLC has been detailed. Donkey Kong will be added to the game as a playable character along with a brand new story and world.
The new DLC will be available this spring and is part of the game's Season Pass content. This DLC will also be available as a a separate download or as part of the game's Gold Edition package.

After more than a quarter century, the Ys series is finally returning to Nintendo consoles.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana has been announced for a Switch release in today's Nintendo Direct. NIS America is handling publishing duties for the Falcom developed action RPG series, which will include an improved localization also coming for the game's PC release. The Switch version will release this summer.

Camelot returns to make a new tennis game on Switch that features a story mode and more.
Mario is making his sporting debut on Switch with Mario Tennis Aces.
Aces is being developed by Camelot, who have been responsible for most Mario sports games since the '90s. Unlike the last tennis release, the 2015 Wii U game Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, Aces is set to contain a deeper experience with a story mode and boss battles.

Following last year's Fire Emblem Warriors, Nintendo and Koei Tecmo are bringing their previous collaboration to Switch in the Zelda-themed Hyrule Warriors.
