The arcade hit can now be played multiplayer anywhere you want.
Slamming flying discs are about to return to Nintendo consoles.
DotEmu have announced that they will be publishing Windjammers on Switch later this year. Originally released for Neo Geo in 1994, it was originally sold on the Wii Virtual Console in Japan but was delisted in 2010, and re-released on PlayStation Vita and PS4 last year.

The long running adventure series has a few new tricks up its sleeve for the Switch.
After nearly a decade away, the Broken Sword series is returning to Nintendo consoles.
Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse has been tabbed for a September 21 release on Switch, retailing for US$29.99. Originally released episodically on PC beginning in 2013, the game will contain both episodes in its retail and digital Switch releases.

Arcade combat has never been this sticky.
November will see a new arcade combat racer drive into the Switch.
Previously announced for a Q4 release earlier this year, Wired Productions will launch GRIP: Combat Racing on November 6 in North America. The game will feature 15 vehicles racing across 22 tracks and nine different weapons to blast the competition with.

Flipping Death has finally landed a release date.
Zoink Games's follow-up to 2014's Stick It To The Man will release on the eShop next Tuesday, August 7. Nintendo's webstore has listed the game for US$19.99/C$25.19.
Flipping Death is the third major independent title to come to the Switch on the 7th, joining Dead Cells and Overcooked 2. Minecraft: Story Mode's second season is also slated to hit Switch on Tuesday.

The NPD Group has released their United States sales survey for June, and Nintendo is a big winner.
In hardware, the top selling system tracked by the NPD in unit sales was the NES Classic Mini, which was re-released on June 29 and had eight days of sale in the reporting period (June 3 - July 7).... Read more...

Nintendo has released their financial and sales results for the first quarter of the 2018 fiscal year at the close of business in Japan today. This is for the period from April 1 to June 30.
All monetary results quoted below are in yen, with a dollar figure based on current market rates in US$ ($1 = ¥111.13 at press time) for comparison.

Whether via card or download, they're still digital monsters.
2019 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Digimon anime arriving on Western shores, and Bandai Namco is celebrating with the newest Digimon game.
Digimon Survive has been announced for release in 2019, which is the current window for the game's Japanese release. Survive is a "survival RPG", in which the character's choices determine how the monsters evolve as well as the game's ending.

And there's special guest musicians.
Bandai Namco's drumming series is coming back to the Americas.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'N' Fun will be the localized title for the Joy-Con powered rhythm title, which will release on November 2. Previous entries in the series have released as Taiko Drum Master.
Special guest drummers for the Switch version will include Kirby and a Splatoon squid.

Let's see how it will drive sales.
The third Labo kit has been announced.
The Toy-Con "Vehicle" kit will launch on September 14, and will feature multiple types of vehicles to build and play with. A plane, submarine, and car are among the included forms of transport.
Also included in the Vehicle kit are keys, which can be moved from one vehicle to another while playing the game.

"Salt and Sanctuary" is also a service provided by the NWR forums.
Four major independent titles have been announced for the Switch today, and three of them will be launching next Thursday.
Ska Studios announced today that their hit 2D RPG Salt and Sanctuary is coming to the Switch next week for US$14.99/C$19.99. A physical version of the game will follow this winter.

It got upstaged a bit, but it doesn't cost anything to try now.
Paladins debuted at E3, and the free option is available now.
The game's entry on the eShop replaced the previously US$29.99 or equivalent Founder's Pack with the free edition today, as promised at launch. The Founder's Pack has been removed from sale completely.
Although the game is free to download, there are still ingame purchases of Crystals.

A former German "Best Computer Game" and its direct sequel are landing on Switch next week.
Headup Games have announced The Inner World and The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk will both release on the Switch next Friday (August 3). The original title will be $/€11.99 or £9.99, with The Last Wind Monk setting back $/€14.99 or £11.99.

Fresh off their second consecutive E3 victory, Devolver Digital is going all in on Switch for the next month.
Devolver announced the "Summer of Devolver" today on their social feeds, confirming six major releases for the Switch. The first release is the "Advanced Gungeons and Draguns" update for Enter the Gungeon, which released last week.
