If it has "ultra realistic graphics" and "extremely accurate physics", what makes it extreme? I would figure exploding cue balls and rocket launchers make stuff extreme. This should be called 'Normal Pool'. Maybe that sounds like something people would swim in on weekends though.

No rocket launchers? too bad. Rocket Launchers = good game face-icon-small-smile.gif

What an odd idea. Pool just doesn't seem to be the kind of game that fits an "extreme" style. The average fan of "extreme" games (which I assume is stuff like Midway Sports games) likely isn't going to be interested in something like pool and hardcore pool fans probably are going to want a sim.

Ah ... so THAT's what "Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball" was missing. One feature away from being a good game.

KulockFebruary 17, 2003

It's good for what it was designed for, the volleyball was just an extra angle. ;P

Besides, don't these people know, this is the 21st century... "Extreme" has to be spelled "Xtreme"! Fools, it'll cost them sales...

Seriously, they should go for a classier name, especially if they're not likely to actually go that "xtreme"...

All I know about the game is what Ive seen in the 6 screens recently posted. I dont see how a pool game can be extreme... but whatever. As long as the playing pool is fun, I couldn't care less what they called it.

If there were rocket launchers in DOA: XBV, it might accidentally obscure certain visual elements if the girls held them at chest-level, and incidentally nullify the game's very reason for existence.
