Bully: Scholarship Edition (rated "T" for Teen) is available to Wii owners who wish to relive high school.

Rockstar Games Announces Bully: Scholarship Edition Now Available in North America

New York, NY - March 4, 2008 - Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), is proud to announce that Bully: Scholarship Edition for the Wii™ home video game system from Nintendo and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft is now available at North American retail stores for the suggested retail price of $49.99. Bully: Scholarship Edition will be available in Europe on March 7.

"With all the love and care that we put into Bully, we are excited that two new audiences can experience this game," said Sam Houser, President and co-founder of Rockstar Games. "It's really difficult to make a compelling comedy-action game about anything, let alone about the experiences of being at high school, and we think we achieved something unique with Bully. I hope people new to the game love it as much as we do."

Originally developed by Rockstar Vancouver, the critically acclaimed fan favorite finally makes its debut on the Wii and Xbox 360. "With new single-player missions and multiplayer games, as well as updated graphics, dialogue, and music, Bully: Scholarship Edition looks like it could attract a new audience with hours of next-generation juvenile mayhem...," says GameSpot, and Official Xbox Magazine writes "...there's so much gameplay richness and black humor in here that we'd jam a dunce cap on anyone who passes it up."

Bully: Scholarship Edition for the Wii and Xbox 360 is rated "T" for Teen.

Day one. Day friggin' OH GOD IT'S TODAY WHERE'S A GAMESTOP!?!?!

I just beat and it was GREAT, I'm sure it will be quickly ignored by our fanbase unfortunately. That includes us on the forum.  Great game, but again sandbox games just aren't doing well on wii even with the awesome controls that Bully has. Bully also has insanely good mini-games, the boxing trounces the boxing in wii sports.

CHECK IT OUT.

Also it has a poster with the manual, ALL GAMES NEED THAT.

VGcharts say 150,000 world wide. Thats pathetic, can you guys start buying the good 3rd party games now?  Please?!?

It didn't have GREAT controls.  It had good controls.  Fighting the way it was done was a tiring experience if you had to do a big brawl.  It should have been considered when they made the game.  Combos were clearly designed for button input, so they're hardly ever used.

I don't even remember what I gave the game...

I promise that as soon as I am working I am going to go back and get all the games I am missing out on, Brawl, RE:UC, Nights Journey of Dreams, Galaxy, Bully, and a ton of others I forget off the top of my head, but it won't be soon enough to affect sales much.

I don't even ever recall my arms getting tired I did all the brawls, I really cannot relate.

The controls were great even when I was manually aiming I rarely had a problem.  really good, I think a lot could be learned from it.

I do, though I got the far superior 360 version.

What is superior about that one?

Better graphics, achievements, tighter controls...tons of glitches. The usual.

The graphics can't really be that much better, I mean other than high-res I don't recall them saying they were that much better.

Controls is subject I really believe the Bully controls kicked ass. I am surprised to find people here that were not satified.

Anytime something is just "waggle to do" it's not good.  Also aiming was floaty.

I can't really think of a time in Bully where that happened.  Hmm... You know waggle to spin in Galaxy didn't bother me at all.

The only time I even felt like the controls were tacked on was in Chemistry class, but that was just one of those press button cinema scenes.  Those always feel tacked on. Can you give me an example of "waggle to do"?  I hope you not talking about fighting, 'cause the fighting was super freakin' fun because of the controls.

Fighting was waggle.

Fighting was waggle.

No way there was total technique with that, especially if you got all the stuff unlocked from the hobo.  Beating the hell out of the people with the remote and nun chuck absolutely kicked ass. You just felt like a bad ass when you destroyed three dudes.  Hopefully you knew the tripping move...

I knew them, but if you were fighting it was just as affective to shake your hands a lot.

No way, trip or run at them and press Z.  Then they are on the ground, get on them by pressing Z then then just punch the repeatedly.  Or stay standing, hold b and kick!  Way more efficient than constant waving.  Also the round house kick on the punch that brings 'em to the ground is devastating!  Those moves make the fighting really really fun and satisfying.

I say no way to taking the waggle out of that game.

I also thought the "floaty" aim was intentional. I thought it was great, seriously!  I think it made things more seamless, especially if you moved the wii mote out of range.

I really think Rockstar tried hard and did a good job with this game.  I want developers to learn from them.

Crimm, I think you and I played the game differently.

Crimm's a NWR staff member. A NWR staff member is part of gaming journalism. Gaming journalism looks down upon the Wii and deems even the best controls as "waggle tastic".

So don't take it personally, Crimm's just doing his job ;) .
