This eco-friendly shooting game is compatible with the Wii Zapper.

In what can only be described as unexpected, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems (creator of notable series such as Fire Emblem and Advance Wars) have combined forces to create a WiiWare shooting game entitled 530 Eco Shooter (or, as a result of a Japanese play on words, Zero Trash Eco Shooter).

As the story goes, the Can Can aliens are stealing cans from a can factory on earth to use for their vehicles, and it's up to a middle-aged worker at the factory named Ossan to get the cans back. This is done by using a Recycle Cannon to turn the cans into "GE" energy, which can then be gathered in order to thwart the alien plans. "GE" also serves as ammunition, with your energy getting drained as you take hits from the alien invaders. Once your "GE" is gone, the game is over.

530 Eco Shooter supports the Wii Zapper and is best described as an on-rails shooter. You move through each environment on a vehicle, collecting energy by aiming at it and clicking Z. Check out the game's official site to see a trailer for this wacky concept.

Priced at 1000 WiiPoints, the game is set for release on November 24 and is rated A by CERO.
