Guitar Hero, DJ Hero to Get Additional DLC Wii

The official Twitter accounts for the games confirm additional content.

According to the official Twitter accounts for the DJ Hero and Guitar Hero series, the games will be receiving additional downloadable content. This contradicts earlier reports stating that the flow of DLC would cease in February.

Although both the nature of the content, and they platforms it will be available for, remain unknown, it represents a ray of hope for fans of the music genre that Activision will not completely abandon them.

Commander Video's final adventure is unleashed on WiiWare.

Today's update features a noteworthy release, the final game in the BIT.TRIP series, BIT.TRIP FLUX. Published by Aksys and priced at 800 Wii Points ($8), FLUX returns to the paddle based gameplay  seen in BEAT, the first game in the series. FLUX promises to have new challenges and additions such as full screen paddles and Avoid Beats.

New DSiWare App Coming for Custom Games DS

Japanese gamers can now program their own games. Updated.

Next month, Japan's DSiWare store will see the release of a creative application called Puchikon, short for PetitComputer. Using the touch screen like a keyboard, players can write up their own BASIC language game scripts to test, play and share their own games.

Nintendo 3DS Experiences Exceptional Start 3DS

Nintendo's new handheld saw enormous sales during its first two days. 

The Nintendo 3DS launched in Japan over the weekend, and despite being available for a mere two days, the new handheld managed to shift 371,326 units.

These numbers put the Nintendo 3DS as the second biggest launch for Nintendo, just behind the Game Boy Advance, which shifted 611,504 units. It is, however, worth noting that the Game Boy Advance had five days on the market as opposed to the two that the Nintendo 3DS was available.

Virtua Tennis 4 to Be Released in May Wii

Pokémon Black and White DSi Bundles Coming to North America DS

Mario and his friends should be racing in stereoscopic 3D this year.

A new entry in the Mario Kart series will hit 3DS this year, according to today's Nintendo of America launch games announcement.  

The game has only been shown off in brief videos at various 3DS events, and no concrete details have been revealed outside of the fact that a new iteration in the series is coming out in 2011.

North American 3DS Launch to Boast 16 Different Games 3DS

Three Nintendo-published titles will be out on launch day with Steel Diver on day one.

Nintendo revealed the North American 3DS launch lineup today, and it includes Pilotwings Resort, Steel Diver, Nintendogs + Cats in three versions, and 13 other games. Each title will be available for $39.99.

Ubisoft and EA are the only other two companies with more than one title at launch. Ubisoft has four (Asphalt 3D, Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, Rayman 3D, and Ghost Recon Shadow Wars), and EA has two (Madden and The Sims 3D).

3DS AR Cards Unveiled 3DS

Nintendo characters are printed on each of the remaining cards.

Konami Announces North American Release for Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights 3DS

The 3DS puzzle/adventure game is scheduled for a summer release.

Konami officially confirmed their plans to localize their upcoming Nintendo 3DS title, Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights for North America. Scheduled for a summer 2011 release, Doctor Lautrec gives players control of the titular doctor as he moves around Paris of the late 1800s, solving both puzzles and mysteries via the application of logic.

Natsume's Reel Fishing Coming to 3DS 3DS

The first 3DS title from Natsume is a little fishy.

Natsume is bringing Reel Fishing Paradise 3D to 3DS this spring. It will be the first 3DS title from the Harvest Moon publishers.

The game will feature more than a dozen fishing locations, all with 3D effects such as fish popping out of the water.

Japanese 3DS Game Cases Are Full of Holes 3DS

A thinner, lighter case will house the new 3DS game cartridges. How do they decrease the weight?

A few days ago some images of the new Nintendo 3DS game cases surfaced on a Japanese retailer blog. These cases are more eco-friendly than previous game cases, as they use less plastic. The packaging seems to be reminiscent of Nintendo DS game cases, but with the 3DS logo on the opposite side of the box. They also appear to be thinner than previous game cases.

Madden and The Sims 3 Confirmed for North American 3DS Launch 3DS

EA will be represented by two games when the 3DS launches on March 27.

Madden NFL Football and The Sims 3 will both be available at the launch of the 3DS in North America on March 27, EA confirmed to us at an event in New York City.

This comes as no surprise, as Madden was announced as a launch title back in November, and The Sims 3 is a launch title in Europe.

Electronic Arts Cancels My Garden 3DS

My Garden, EA's 3DS garden simulator, is canceled, as revealed at an EA event in New York City today.

Videos from the Minna no Nintendo channel on Japanese Wiis show off more about the eShop.

Downloadable games can be rated in the Nintendo 3DS eShop, according to a video on Nintendo's Minna no Nintendo channel on Japanese Wiis. The video shows Super Mario Land with a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, the price for Super Mario Land and other Virtual Console games were not shown.
