Hudson Lets Players Try Lost In Shadow Wii

A flash game lets players experience the title's gameplay ahead of time.

In an interesting alternative to a playable demo, Hudson Soft has created a flash game that mimics the gameplay of their upcoming Wii game Lost In Shadow. The game can be accessed from the "Trial" link on the title's official Japanese website.

Rondo of Blood Coming to VC as Import Title Wii

Konami's classic looks to be available soon, but only in Japanese.

SiliconEra recently talked to Konami regarding Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, which showed up on the ESRB's game rating list earlier this week.

A representative confirmed to the website that the game is coming to the North American Virtual Console "shortly" as an import selection, and like other import titles it will not be translated into English.

Iwata Not Impressed by iPad, 3D Gaming

Nintendo President also calls Steve Jobs a turtleneck-wearing sissy. OK, we made that up.

At a recent event at a Tokyo Hotel, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata expressed his skepticism of Apple's iPad, 3D gaming, and the importance of high-definition capabilities for game consoles.

The iPad, revealed last Wednesday by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, was dismissed by Iwata as "a bigger iPod Touch". He stated his feelings quite bluntly: "There were no surprises for me."

Nintendo Profits, Sales Down for Q3 2009

New Super Mario Bros. Wii Reclaims Sales Throne in Japan Wii

Nintendo's plumber is back on top.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a monster. Not only is the game the fastest-selling Wii title in Japan, but it’s managed to keep quite a few high-profile games off the top spot of the sales charts. Through the eight weeks that it’s been available, it has reigned supreme on five different occasions, preventing some big-name games like The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Tomodachi Collection from reaching the summit.

Square Enix brings another installment of the Dragon Quest spin-off series to the DS.

It’s undeniable that Square Enix has struck a gold mine on the Nintendo DS with the Dragon Quest series in Japan. Remakes of both Dragon Quest IV and V and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker have both managed to cross the million sales mark in the region, along with the four-times platinum Dragon Quest XI.

Two New Wii RPGs Revealed Wii

The Last Story and Xenoblade are set for 2010 releases in Japan.

Nintendo has launched websites for two new RPGs in Japan: The Last Story and Xenoblade.

The Last Story, which is being co-developed by Nintendo and Mistwalker, is an attempt at a "new form of RPG" according to a translation provided by Andriasang. The official site does not give a firm release date, only saying the game will release in 2010. A developer blog will start up in March.

Mega Man Zero Collection Due in Summer 2010 DS
