Jay-Z and Eminem Join DJ HeroWii

Two of the most popular hip hop artists contribute their talents to DJ Hero's track list.

Activision has announced an innovative collaboration with hip hop artists Jay-Z and Eminem that includes tracks from both performers and a special edition of the game.

The collaboration will create a special edition that includes an expanded version of the game's turntable controller, a traveling case that turns into a table, and a special edition CD featuring the best hits from each performer.

DJ Hero will be part of Activision's fall lineup of rhythm games that feature Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5 and will feature tracks from over 40 rock and hip hop artists and a three-button turntable controller that simulates the experience of being a DJ.

Atlus Announces Trauma TeamWii

The recently revealed Hospital will be called Trauma Team in North America. It will feature voice acting, new anime-influenced story sequences, and lots of exciting medical action.

Last week, Famitsu revealed the existence of Hospital, a new game from the creators of Trauma Center. Today, Atlus announced the game for North America with the localized title Trauma Team.

Players will have the opportunity to take on the role of six different medical professions including diagnostician, general surgeon, E.M.T., endoscope technician, medical examiner, and orthopedic surgeon. Popular medical tools like the forceps and the hemostat will be available for surgery. In addition, voice acting and brand new story sequences inspired by anime and manga will be included.

Dead Space: Extraction Release Date AnnouncedWii

The survival horror adventure will arrive in September.

EA has announced that Dead Space: Extraction will be released on September 29.

A prequel to last year's Dead Space and developed by Visceral Games, Dead Space: Extraction is a Wii exclusive on-rails shooter that promises to expand on the storyline by offering new playable characters, the intense horror the franchise is known for to a brand new audience, and have the "best visuals ever showcased on the platform."

Sega Unveils E3 LineupWii

The Conduit and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games highlight Sega's Nintendo lineup.

Sega's has announced what games they will show at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009, which starts on Tuesday. Two highly anticipated titles highlight Sega's Nintendo lineup for the show.

The first of these is The Conduit, developed by High Voltage Software. Touted as a deep first person shooter experience made exclusively for the Wii, The Conduit will have a robust 12 player online multiplayer mode, high-end graphics, and many other game modes. The Conduit is slated for a June 23 release in the United States.

Square Enix Announces Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for EuropeDS

Debuting in PAL territories later this year, the game features an exciting story that delves into the past of the protagonist, Roxas, and the first multiplayer mode in the series.

Square Enix revealed that Kingdom Hearts 358/2 is slated for release in PAL territories this fall. The talented folks at Square Enix and Disney have reunited once again to tell the untold backstory of Roxas and his time spent in Organization XIII.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 will be an action RPG in the same vein as its console brethren. Players will have a chance to explore a variety of levels that are based on locations from popular Disney films such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. The game will feature completely rendered 3D backgrounds and characters, along with an orchestrated soundtrack.

Nikkei Reveals a New Wii Fit and Mario TitleWii

Both titles are due later this year in Japan.

A recent news article from the Nikkei Shimbun confirmed the existence of Wii Fit Plus and revealed that a new Mario title is in the works.

Wii Fit Plus, which will be released in the fall, will have more precise weighing options and the ability to compare stats and progress with friends online.

According to the article, the new Mario title will be released later this year. Unfortunately, no platform or further information was specified.

Mighty Flip Champs Priced and Dated for DSiWareDS

WayForward's premiere DSiWare title is coming soon.

Yesterday, WayForward announced both the price and release date of their upcoming DSiWare title, Mighty Flip Champs. Nintendo will be making the game available in the DSi Shop on June 1 for 800 DSi Points ($8).

In Mighty Flip Champs players control Alta, the story's protagonist. She must navigate through a variety of mazes using her magical wand in order to reach the exit.

The game is displayed in a unique way, using the top screen to show Alta's current location, and the bottom screen to show a reflected preview of the next level, as well as Alta's approximate location within that level. Players will need to "flip", through use of the magic wand, between multiple levels in order to reach the exit.

Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest Announced for Wii and DSWii

The new third-person action adventure will allow players to play through Aragorn's most epic quests in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Earlier today, Headstrong GamesWarner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest for Wii and DS. They also announced Aa new partnership between Warner Bros Interactive Entertainmentthem, The Sail Zaentz Company, and New Line Productions, Inc, which has allowed the game to come to fruition. The partnership will allow Warner Bros to expand the series with titles that appeal to a broad demographic of gamers.

Aragorn's Quest is being developed by Headstrong Games for the Wii and TT Fusion for DS. It takes place later in the Lord of the Rings timeline, after Frodo destroyed the ring and saved Mmiddle-e Earth. Hobbiton is preparing for a feast to honor the new king of Gondor, Aragorn, as well as Samwise Gamgee for his efforts during the war. Samwise Gamgee, now the mayor of Hobbinton, has been requested by the children of the village to recount the tales of Aragorn, or Strider as he was known earlier in the trilogy. The title is being developed as a third-person action adventure in which players will take on the role of Aragorn and play through the great quests he embarked on throughout the trilogy.

NBA2K10 Coming to WiiWii

Take-Two intends for all their sports titles to be multiplatform.

In a post-earnings conference call with GameSpot, Take-Two’s Ben Feder spoke about their sports business and its struggle to be profitable. He noted their plans to expand the list of platforms for which they will release their NBA titles. It was then revealed that NBA 2K10 would arrive on Wii when it ships across multiple platforms this fall.

"All of our sports products need to be multiplatform," Feder said. "As we said over and over again on these calls, Nintendo was a terrific and important partner for Take-Two, and we expect that to continue over time, and especially in our sports business."

Tecmo Announces Family Fun Football for Wii

Tecmo Bowl Wii transformed into this Mii-using family-themed football game.

Tecmo has announced Family Fun Football as an exclusive Wii title to be released this fall. The sports title will be an arcade inspired game that incorporates the Miis into its gameplay as well as quirky original characters, such as animals and aliens, interacting in vibrant stadiums and worlds.

Family Fun Football promises to be a sports title that is fun and accessible for players of all ages thanks to intuitive Wii controls that deliver a fun, pick-up-and-play experience. Power-ups can also be used to temporarily enhance a player's stats, which range from speed and strength to passing and interception.
