Capcom Founds Clover Studio

Capcom announces plans for a promising new development studio.

EA, Sony, and Nintendo Sued by Former Boxer GC

Famous ex-boxer Alexis Arguello sues the publisher of Knockout Kings and associated companies for using his likeness without permission.

The latest in a series of legal battles in the gaming industry, boxing champion Alexis Arguello has filed a law suit against Electronic Arts over his unendorsed appearance in the Knockout Kings series. Also included in the suit are console manufacturers who licensed—and thereby benefited from—EA’s boxing series.

Comcast to Merge Tech TV and G4 Networks

At the GDC, Eiji Aonuma offered insights on recent developments in the Zelda series and teased the audience with a brief reference to the Wind Waker 2.

Wednesday afternoon at the Game Developer's Conference in San Jose, Nintendo's Eiji Aonuma delivered a lecture entitled "The Evolution of a Franchise: The Legend of Zelda" in which he presented a retrospecitve on the Zelda series, offered some ideas as to what makes a game "Zelda-esque", and shared some amusing insights on the development of recent Zelda games.

Kirby Delayed in Japan GBA

A major bug has caused Nintendo to indefinitely delay the latest GBA Kirby game.

Previously planning to release Kirby Mirror (Hoshi no Kirby: Kagami no Daimeikyu) just this week, Nintendo announced on Friday that a critical bug has been found in the game, forcing them to delay it until the problem can be fixed. They apologize to everyone who was planning on picking up the game for Spring Break.

GameCube Price Drop and New Specs for Japan GC

Nintendo announces "new" prices for GameCube in Japan, as well as some minor changes to the hardware. UPDATE: New information from Nintendo of America.

According to an official release by Nintendo Co. Ltd. in Japan, as well as a report by Famitsu's website, there are some changes being made to the GameCube in Japan.

The system's price has been modified to now include tax. The actual price points are unchanged, but tax will no longer be added on top, so this is effectively a price cut of a few thousand yen. The change will be effective on March 22nd.
