Raylight Studios, a Game Boy Advance developer based in Italy, has updated its website with several new videos of its BlueRoses polygonal engine for GBA.

As before, the demos generally emulate popular console titles. One looks like Resident Evil, another like Wave Race, another like Colin McRae and other rally games. Other videos just show off some of the engine's new features, including motion-captured animation and lip-synching technology (using an audio clip from Monsters, Inc.).

UBI SOFT ANNOUNCES NEW BATMAN™ ADVENTURE

Batman™ 2 (working title) Scheduled For Worldwide Release On Multiple Platforms In Fall 2003

October 31 2002 - Ubi Soft® Entertainment, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced today that it will release Batman™ 2 (working title) during the Fall of 2003. A licensing agreement signed with DC Comics and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, divisions of Warner Bros., provides Ubi Soft with full production and publishing rights for the game. The brand new arcade-style action game features enhanced fighting scenes and will be available for next generation consoles.

Hitman 2 Sets Sights on GameCube

Eidos Interactive, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, announces that the No.1 selling Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is to be released on GameCube. Since its release on PlayStation 2, PC and Xbox in October this year, the game has enjoyed worldwide success having shipped in excess of one million units. The first Tokyo International Computer Graphics Festival (TIGRAF) was held for three days from October 28 to 30. On the 30th, the event featured a game special composed of three segments. One of the segment featured Toshihiro Nagoshi (Super Monkey Ball, Daytona USA and Scud Race) regarding the evolution of driving games and his current involvement with F-Zero GC/AC.
