Saffire Racer?

Nintendorks talk to Saffire about a planned Dolphin racing game...

The Dorks have teamed up with Saffire to do a little racer research. Hmmmm...so does that make 3 games in development from Saffire? Very cool. Here's the goods....

Our buds over at Saffire need your help to make a potential Dolphin game. Lately, they have been throwing ideas around for a Dolphin racing title. If they were to make a racer for Nintendo's next console, they'd use some serious development time to create a game that we could only dream of right now. Saffire has told Nintendorks that they are very interested in making an off-road racer similar to that of their latest creation, Top Gear Rally 2. "We want mud to look and act like mud," said CEO Les Pardew. He later went on to talk about if you're to go ninety miles per hour on a muddy road, there would be fifteen foot rooster tails. "We'd want the gamer to experience that." After wiping the drool away, we agreed.

Boss on Dolphin?

IGN64 chats w/BOSS Games, who seemingly have Dolphin & PS2 plans.

IGN64 had a few words with Boss Game Studios' vice president of product development Colin Gordon about its upcoming racer SR3K and its possibility for being a developer for Dolphin. Can you smell a racer? I think you can.

IGN64: We recently got Rob Povey's thoughts on Nintendo 64. What are yours?

Colin Gordon: First off, when you quoted our mutual friend, that was his personal opinion and not that of the company obviously. Why would we still be developing for a dead console?

Billy wants to share his love of Tetrinet with you all.

A little addiction some of the Planet Staffers are having, (along with some other fellow webmasters) is playing an online Tetris battle game called Tetrinet. I have uploaded the Win 95/98 version to our site because some people were complaining they couldn't download it from the actual Tetrinet site (www.tetrinet.net). Grab it and find us! Warning: This game causes loss of sleep, and a large increase in Mountain Dew intake. HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. We may try to work a tournament weekly after trivia. Comments? Let us know!

Information on Saffire's FPS game planned for Dolphin.

The fine folks over at Nintendorks have recently had another chat with Saffire. In there adventures they have gotten a few new words about Saffire's new FPS for Dolphin. Word is the game is coming along nicely. WERD! Here's the giblets....

The first-person shooter is said to be coming along quite nicely, and we can expect more information on the game in as little as two weeks. Perhaps this will set off a chain of Dolphin software announcements throughout the industry.

200,000!

The Planet reaches 200,000 hits! Aw, thanks!

Hey folks! Just wanted to say thanks to all our Staff (past and present) and our readers for getting us to this level. As of last night we cracked the 200K mark. I was going to have this HUGE party, but the printing company messed up the Invitations. %$&*! It was a real mess...so I decided to celebrate by purchasing a GBC to replace my stolen one. ;)

Some people out there may think it's silly that I am thrilled about 200K hits, because there are a lot of sites that get that daily. But I am proud of what we have accomplished. Now if we could get some real news here, so I don't have to post this filler. :) Kidding...
