The NES classic might just be making a comeback, along with the company that created it.

Discuss it in Talkback!

Although the original Technos went out of business in 1996 after doing some Neo-Geo titles, the original team is apparently still in business after re-grouping to produce Super Dodge Ball Advance for Atlus. Recently the team set up a new company with the old Technos Japan name and GamePro reports that another classic NES remake may be on the way. Just yesterday, the new company filed a trademark application with the Japan Patent Office today for "Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari," the Japanese title of River City Ransom. There’s no other information concerning what system the game is being developed for, but it certainly is encouraging news for everyone who has been hoping for a sequel to the classic River City Ransom. We’ll keep our eyes and ears open for any official announcements concerning this exciting development.
