Acclaim's got some great stuff in store for the GameCube version of All Star Baseball 2002!

Baseball lovers, rejoice! The GameCube version of All Star Baseball 2002 has several GameCube exclusive features, including stadiums!

That's right, only on the GameCube will you see Safeco Field lit up for the 2001 All-Star Game, or the new Puerto Rico Stadium.

And a first in a baseball videogame, the GameCube version will include what Acclaim is calling "Broken Bat Technology."

Here's a run-down of the specific GCN features:

  • Two brand new Stadiums to choose from: 2001 All-Star Safeco Field and Puerto Rico Stadium.

  • Updated graphics for many stadiums including PNC Park, Miller Park and Oakland Coliseum.

  • User control over Check Swings and Changing Fielders.

  • All New CPU Defensive Assist Option.

  • Never before seen Broken Bat Technology.

Of course, this doesn't even approach some of the shared features across platforms, like old-time jerseys, 130 different stances, 50 pitching deliveries ... the list goes on.

It look like Acclaim has a "hit" on their hands with ASB 2002. Let's hope they can "knock this one out of the park."

    (Bad puns not included.)
