Eat, sleep, conquer the streak.
There’s a pretty heavy week on the eShop as far as Wii U releases. Several eShop titles including 6180 the moon, Inside My Radio (not an app, surprisingly) and REPLAY: VHS is not dead represent the eShop love, while Metabots AX: Metabee and Rokusho cover the Virtual Console releases for Wii U.
But of course, the bigger releases this week on the eShops are on the 3DS end. A classic series is celebrated on the 3DS as the Mega Man Legacy Collection brings the convenience of having all six Mega Man games on one 3DS file. (Check out Neal’s review.) And of course, Pokémon delivers three F5s to the 3DS Virtual Console’s losing streak – in your choice of three different languages – this Saturday. Note that a) this is the first time in nearly a year of me doing these articles that I’ve had to use the “3DS Virtual Console” heading, and b) it’s probably going to be the last time I use it unless the anniversary party continues with Gold/Silver/Crystal reprogrammed to use a system clock.
In Europe, it’s heavy on the Pokémon as well with the anniversary releases being joined by Pokémon Ranger. Your Wii U touchscreen is not ready. (Sadly, the Manaphy event won’t work either, but where exactly would you send it…?) There’s also a mess of eShop releases and a Bravely Second attempt at classic role-playing as we pass through the eye of the RPG storm.
