Way back in the good old Super Nintendo days, Squaresoft (now known as Square-Enix) made a game with Nintendo. It was called Super Mario RPG. Many people consider this the best Mario game of all time. While I did not get the chance to finish the game, I fell in love with it at first sight. Then came the N64 days... the system had just about no RPGs, while Squaresoft made great games for the Playstation. Nintendo tried to help the drought with Paper Mario, which was originally going to be called Super Mario RPG 2. Now we are probablly more than half-way through the GameCube's life, and while the RPG lineup is better, Square is back with the company, there are still no plans to bring back the Mario RPG series. My question is simply why aren't they doing something about this? Sure Paper Mario tiself was a good game, but it was nothing compared to Mario RPG. Now that there is a Mario and Luigi game coming out, and a Paper Mario sequel announced, why aren't they working with Square on a Mario RPG sequel?
