Yes, now you can get cheevos on the Switch.
One of last E3's most interesting announcements will finally happen after this year's.
A free update to Minecraft for Switch releasing on June 21 will bring the long-promised crossplay function with Xbox One, Windows 10, and mobile versions to Switch. This includes the ability to earn Gamerscore for Xbox Live on the Switch version of Minecraft, as well as access to a community marketplace for skins.

Some might call it a double cross.
Hunting parties will be forming on Switch in North America this summer.
In a Twitter announcement, Nintendo of America have confirmed Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for an August 28 launch on Switch. The game is the localized version of Monster Hunter XX for Switch.
A 3DS version of the game was released in Japan last March, and its status is unknown for Western release.

Gaming's most prominent bandicoot is arriving ahead of his initial schedule.
The remastered versions of the original trilogy from the PlayStation has now been announced for a June 29 release on Switch. Originally, the trilogy was announced for a July 10 release.

A demo for the June 2017 puncher is now live in Europe and will be live in North America shortly. "Certain" fighters are available to try in some states, for both single player and multiplayer.

Over in Japan, some stars of WiiWare are celebrating its 10th anniversary by returning.
As we approach Runner 3 Day, it's a solid-looking lineup of digital releases for the Switch this week. The headliner depending on your point of view is either the all-DLC version of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (high recommendation from yours truly) or another One Piece adventure that's actually more expensive despite - at least in NA - no physical release. Weird.

Nintendo has made an already busy day just a little busier.
The North American branches have announced a new charge stand for a July 13 release, priced at US$19.99/C$24.99. The stand is adjustable and allows the system to be charged while playing in tabletop mode via a USB port on the side of the stand.

Nintendo has detailed the Switch's online service, though has still not given a date beyond September.

The Framed Collection will jump into a busy week for its release.
A winner of multiple mobile awards, the two puzzle games will hit Switch on May 17 as one release. Developed by Australian developers Loveshack, the Switch version will feature a brand new interface but the same adventure based gameplay.

May's release schedule for Switch just picked up some more fever.
Zen Studios has announced an agreement to bring PC hit Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball to consoles, including Switch, on May 22 under the name Disco Dodgeball Remix. The price will be revealed closer to release.

The Switch has a lot of scrolling shooters, and it's landing a giant of the genre this month.
Developers Treasure are teaming with Nicalis to bring Ikaruga to the eShop on May 29 for US$14.99. The game previously hit Nintendo platforms with a 2003 GameCube release.
The core gameplay of Ikaruga involves switching the polarity of the titular ship to absorb bullets.

Get ready for some frenzied tag team fighting later this year.
SNK Heroines, the female-focused fighting game from SNK and NIS America, is coming to Switch on September 7.
This 2-vs.-2 fighter pits a variety of characters together, all from SNK's history, to do battle in a streamlined battle system. One of the main hooks is that in order to win matches, combatants need to land specific finishing moves.

The 2018 World Cup will kick off on Switch in just under a month.
A free update to FIFA 18 will release on May 29 to add support for the latest edition of the quadrennial soccer tournament. The national teams will be updated to reflect their World Cup rosters, and new stadium and ball options will also be added.

Details about the Nintendo Switch Online service will be hitting very soon.
As part of a shareholder presentation today to coincide with the release of their annual earnings, outgoing Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima reconfirmed that the service would have a September launch, and details would be made available in "early May".

It's gonna be a bumpy ride.
Nintendo has outlined their plans for this year's E3, and they are similar to the show in 2017.
The big events will be the video presentation which is slated for Tuesday, June 12 at 9 a.m. Pacific time (noon Eastern). The presentation will focus on Switch games releasing in 2018. Following the presentation Treehouse Live will return for three days of demos, leading off with the Switch Super Smash Bros game.
