The dungeon-crawling spin-off is heading to Switch!
The Darksiders franchise is getting a spin-off. Darksiders Genesis will take the Zelda inspired franchise into the realm of top down, loot driven RPGs. No official details have been given beyond a short teaser trailer, but Darksiders Genesis has been confirmed for a Switch release.

And something to look forward to on Day 3
Nintendo has confirmed details about games that will be playable at E3 and elsewhere.
Pokémon Sword and Shield, Link's Awakening, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 "...and more!" will be playable in the Nintendo booth during the three day event. 80 US Best Buy stores will also be offering the Marvel demo: details can be found on Best Buy's website.

What you see is what you catch.
Pokémon Sword and Shield will replace random encounters with overworld models and randomized hiding spots, as shown in the new trailer from today’s Direct.
Creatures still hide in tall grass but alert players with an exclamation point. Other Pokémon roam the land and may charge or run away from the player once spotted. At one point in the trailer, the player coaxes a Stufful out from its hiding spot with a whistle.

Sports, art, and... murder one.
The June lineup of NES games for Switch Online will hit the road, a ball, and a lot of thugs.
June's additions, due on the 12th, will be Volleyball (Nintendo), City Connection (Jaleco), and Double Dragon II: The Revenge (Technos/Arc System Works). Both Double Dragon II and City Connection have releases as part of the Arcade Archives.

The remainder of the lineup for the Genesis Mini has been revealed, and it's a bit bigger than originally advertised.
Following a previous announcement of Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Street Fighter II Special Championship Edition, and Phantasy Star IV among others a couple of weeks ago, Sega announced 12 more games for the mini console today to bring the total game lineup to 42 games.

Square Enix appears to be bringing over some sort of Secret of Mana collection to the West.
Square Enix is applying for the trademark for the game name Collection of Mana according to a recent filing with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office).

The intense rhythm game will add some Jake Kaufman tunes in the future Just Shovels and Knights update.
Just Shapes and Beats will be the next indie game to feature Shovel Knight when the Just Shovels and Knights update comes in the near future.
The update was revealed in Nintendo's Japanese indie video Indie World, showcasing the game's main theme as well as King Knight's theme. The exact amount of new songs wasn't revealed.

A new update has added a couple of oddball features to Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
The version 3.1.0 update, available now, has added support for the Labo VR goggles. Similar to modes in Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, the support for the VR is single player only: either watching 4 CPUs or doing 1v1 CPU battles.

Two of Nintendo's partners have gathered for a new take on Pokémon Battling.
Pokémon Masters is a new mobile game developed by Nintendo's first mobile partner, DeNA. More details about the game will be revealed next month, but it was revealed that the game will feature protagonists, Gym Leaders, and champions from all of the prior Pokémon video games.

Funny how Rest is a universal TM.
After a long day of Pokémon Go, the next step is Pokémon Sleep.
Pokémon Sleep is a new game app developed by Select Button, who previously released Magikarp Jump. Full details about the app and how it will use sleep to affect play were not disclosed, but the game is slated to release next year.

Pokémon Bank won't be coming to Switch directly, but an even bigger place will be.
The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon Home will be available in early 2020. Home will utilize Pokémon Bank on 3DS, as well as connecting to Pokémon Go, the Let's Go games, and Sword and Shield when it launches.

Detective Pikachu is about to break out of the 3DS.
The sequel to the 2018 3DS game was announced for Switch tonight at the Pokémon Company strategy meeting. No release date was given, but the game will feature a "different ending" than the recent Hollywood movie.
