Level 5's hit game coming to an English audience!
Yo-Kai Watch has been confirmed for a Holiday 2015 release outside of Japan.
The game appears to be fully dubbed with English voice acting.
No specific launch date has yet been set besides the holiday period. We'll update with specifics as soon as they become available.

First details of the latest Mario Sports game shows some oversize tennis!
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash has just been announced for the Wii U console, set to come out during the holiday 2015 period in North America. The game is the latest entry in a line of Mario Tennis games that span all the way back to the Nintendo 64, and was represented at Nintendo's Digital Event with the premiere of a gameplay trailer.

The two roads of Mario RPGs collide in a 3DS adventure!
We've got a first view of a new RPG that combines the Mario and Luigi and Paper Mario series.
Releasing Spring 2016, Mario and Luigi Paper Jam sees the brothers teaming up with a Paper Mario to "tear up" their enemies. You'll be able to create large papercraft Mario to fight the larger enemies with.

We knew it was coming to America in 2015, and it makes it just before the end of the year!
Xenoblade Chronicles X is just making it to North America in 2015: Nintendo has just announced that Monolith Software's epic RPG will be coming out in North America on December 4, 2015.
Released in Japan earlier this year in April, NWR has hands-on coverage from the Japanese release of the title here and especially our focus on the giant mecha the characters use in the game (called "Skells") here.

Happy Home Designer and prophetic Amiibo party are both coming this year.
Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, a digital board game that expands upon Amiibo Party mode of Mario Party 10, has been announced as part of Nintendo's Digital Event. The board game will be based on a calendar concept, going through all the months of the year with changing seasons and seasonal events. Details are scarce, but apparently players can collect and save "Happy Points" to their amiibo and use them to expand the game.

The digital event gives a localized trailer and a release window.
The upcoming 3DS Fire Emblem title is now known as Fire Emblem Fates, as revealed in a new trailer released during the Nintendo digital event.
The trailer details a storyline of betrayal and choice, and the 2016 release window in the west. This trailer was the first time Nintendo has shown the game not in Japanese.

Transforming kings confirmed!
Hyrule Warriors Legends has been officially announced by Nintendo, confirming the leaked Hyrule Warriors 3DS video from last week.
Releasing 1st quarter of 2016, it will include all of the downloable characters from the Wii U version as well as Tetra and the King of Red Lions from Wind Waker.

Bowser and Donkey Kong will be making appearances in new physical figures that feature BOTH Skylanders and Amiibo functionality.
Nintendo and Vicarious Visions have announced two exclusive Skylander Amiibo figures for the upcoming game, Skylanders SuperChargers.
Hammer Slam Bowser and Turbo Charged Donkey Kong will be made available, both of which will feature unique moves and vehicles for them to utilise.
The two figures can change modes via a twist of the base. This allows the figures to act as either a regular Amiibo, or as a Skylander.

New transforming vehicles, the game's unique perspectives via the Wii U GamePad, and more were revealed in the Nintendo Digital Event.
The Nintendo Digital event kicked off with first details for Star Fox Zero.
The game uses the GamePad to aim in smaller areas and the gyro for camera views, while showing third-person view of the craft on the TV. The game features flying Landmasters, transformable mobile Arwing walkers, and a gyro-copter for exploration based missions.

Drop a dollar and you can use the 3DS as a controller without owning Smash 3DS.
Hidden in Sunday's Smash Brothers update was an option to use a 3DS as a Wii U controller without the 3DS game.
The application, available on the 3DS eShop for $0.99, replicates the functionality of the 3DS to Wii U control option. Owners of the 3DS version do not need to download this application.

The first Western 3rd party announcement for Wii U of the show.
Just Dance 2016 has been announced for the Wii U and Wii today at Ubisoft's E3 press conference.
Coming to "all motion consoles" this fall, the game was demonstrated through a live musical performance by Jason Derulo, and will feature the ability to use a smartphone as an alternate controller for the game.

Nine games, one week to download them, discounts after launch. UPDATE: Europe gets it as well!
Nintendo and several independent developers have teamed up to provide demos of indie games during E3.
The demos will be available to download for one week starting today (June 15) and are already on the eShop. Downloading the demos will give the same NNID 15% off the games when the final product launches.

During the grand finals of the Nintendo World Championship, the game previously known as Mario Maker received its final title.
Now known as Super Mario Maker, the finals showed off a full set of levels from the Nintendo Treehouse in the game's four main disciplines: Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario U.

The winner of this bout, and NEW Nintendo World Champion...
For the first time since 1990, someone wears the crown of the Nintendo World Champion.
John "John Numbers" Goldberg triumphed over a series of invited guests and national qualifiers to become the champion, defeating Cosmo Walker in the final round of head-to-head Super Mario Maker.
The tournament format saw 16 players compete in a serious of elimination challenges leading up to the grand final.

Soccer in space with mechs.
The 2nd round of the Nintendo World Championships featured the debut of a new 3DS game called Blast Ball.
The game features 3v3 multiplayer where each player is in a mech that uses guns to roll a ball into the goal. Each match in the championships was first to 3 goals, with a goal that gets smaller each time someone scores into it.

Shigesato Itoi appeared before the Nintendo World Championships to announce that Mother 1 would come to the Virtual Console as Earthbound Beginnings at 9pm ET / 6pm PT.
Released twenty years after Earthbound on SNES, the game was originally released in 1989 in Japan and was translated for release in North America but was never released before outside of Japan.

And what would that mean for Happy Home Designer?
An email from Nintendo Spain may have leaked a couple of Amiibo lines coming soon.
The email shows a Pixel Mario, four Animal Crossing Amiibo including K.K. Slider and Isabelle as well as the Happy Home Designer cards.
We'll be watching during E3 to see if this could lead to another Animal Crossing game aside from Happy Home Designer.
