Pokemon Rumble Rush Debuts on Australian Phones

The toy Pokémon are at it again.

Pokémon Rumble Rush, the fifth entry in the light RPG brawler series, is live first on the Australian app stores, The Pokémon Company announced today.

The "free-to-start" title sees Pokémon battle through wild hoards to unlock new Pokémon and equipment. The tap-control levels lead to "Super Bosses" on each island.

A new roguelike coming to Switch this summer will let you play as a pacifist.

Mable & The Wood features the title character in a exploration platformer where in order to proceed, they must slay enemies and use the power of the fallen enemies to proceed. If a non-violent approach is preferred, secret paths can be found that allow the bypassing of all combat.

Yep, pretty much. The Castlevania Collection is out this week, though the only place we have pricing for it is in Japan. The big one is either Rock of Ages 2, or Sniper Elite V2 Remastered.

Tetris 99 "Big Block" DLC Available Now: Adds Vs CPU And Marathon Modes Switch

Tetris 99 has added DLC that makes the game playable against something other than 90+ people.

The "Big Blocks" DLC is now available on the eShop for US$9.99/C$12.59, and adds two new modes: Marathon Mode for solo play, and a Vs CPU mode that involves challenging 98 AIs.

It looks as though May's NES lineup for the Switch Online app will feature plenty of climbing and riding.

Team17 To Publish Automachef: Automated Cooking Puzzler Slated For Summer Switch

Team17 has announced a publishing agreement for a game that combines cooking and machine learning.

Automachef, developed by Hermes Interactive, will be released under the Team17 banner this summer for Switch. The goal of Automachef is to set up machines to make perfect meals without human intervention, taking into account limited resources, fire, and preventing infestation.

Nintendo Officially Confirms Tencent Partnership For Switch Release In China Switch

That's one Switch printing money gif for Furukawa.

After weeks of stock-boosting rumors, Nintendo has confirmed their intent to enter the Chinese market in full.

A one sentence statement was posted to their investor relations webpage, which reads: "Nintendo Co., Ltd. is announcing that a collaboration is in progress with Tencent Holdings Limited (HQ: Shenzhen, China; Chairman of the Board and CEO: Ma Huateng) to release the Nintendo Switch video game system in China."

The tail end of September will see a hard boiled detective story hit the Switch via Microids.

Blacksad: Under the Skin, an adventure game based on a comic of the same name, will release on Switch September 26. Set in 1950s New York City, players will take the role of detective John Blacksad and will have freedom to solve the city's mysteries in their own way.

Atlus has revealed Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers at a Persona concert in Tokyo. No release window or time of more information was given, but the game is developed in collaboration with Koei Tecmo's Omega Force studio and is a musou.

Nintendo Releases 2018 Fiscal Year Results Switch

Nintendo has released their earnings for the 2018 fiscal year (April 1, 2018 -> March 31, 2019) at the close of business today in Japan. This report includes figures for the 4th fiscal quarter (January 1 -> March 31) as well.

All monetary figures reported in yen, with comparisons to the US dollar based on a market rate of $1 = ¥111.812 provided for comparison only.

Mario Kart Tour Opens Applications For Closed Beta Mobi

If you're in the US or Japan and have an Android device, holla.

Nintendo is now taking applications for a mobile beta.

Mario Kart Tour has opened up applications for a closed beta test on the game's website, with signups open until 10:59 p.m. Eastern time on May 7. The beta itself is scheduled to be active from May 22 - June 4.

Participants must be in the United States or Japan, and have an Android device. "Certain devices" will not be supported.
